YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

Russia is in the semi-finals of the Euro 2008, winning over the highly acclaimed Holland team 3:1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as I am aware Russia never being further than quarter-finals. The Russian coach (who is actually Dutch) Guus Hiddink is made of awesome as far as I am concerned. I will be making picspams and icons in between now and 26 of June.

- THIS IS A GREAT, GREAT TOURNAMENT SO FAR!
- I was impressed by the Turkey team as being able to shoot penalties is such an important skill. And ability to score a goal on the last second is even more important.
- Germany has always been one of my favourites and Ballack is in a good form. He is fantastic!

GO GO ITALY TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can imagine how it is in Russia now - and WHAT A GREAT TEAM!!! They absolutely flattened Holland down in the extra time.

I am too happy to sleep too, but it is a bit earlier here. :D

It was so good I almost cried! After they were 2:1 I was just praying that the other team wouldn't pull some luck out collective asses and even out the score but then- THEN ARSHAVIN SCORED ANOTHER ONE FOR RUSSIA!

OH GOD I LOVE THAT TEAM. I haven't even been following football for very long, but I am now hopelessly devoted to the Russian team.

Me too! Arshavin's goal was absolutely epic - he played back what Ruud van Nistelrooy did in the second half.

I think I love love love the boys too. They just have no FEAR!

And the one by Torbinski was so CLOSE. SO CLOSE. I hadn't even realized that he'd scored until they announcer said so. He just basically nudged it in.

I think I need to drink something now. I'm all jumpy from the excitement. HOW COULD I NOT BE?

I have missed that one, I am going to watch the recaps now. I also need a bite to eat to calm me down. :D

Why? Croatia played better (only marginally, INHO) until the first goal but after that Turkey KNEW they want to win, but Croatia wasn't so sure. :D

I liked that the goalkeeper got to save a penalty. This will make him feel better about the goal he missed because he run out.

I think I will be supporting Turkey a little bit more than Germany. Can't help but cheer for the underdog.

My brain didn't read "penalties" correctly you see... *sigh*

Anyway, my friends seemed quite exciting when penalties happened with this game.

This tournament is most excellent and full of surprises. But I am still watching Trigun obsessively(on the ep.20 now!) , so in between this, the busy moment at work and Euro 2008 I am afraid I am not getting enough sleep.

Congratulations! You beat the Netherlands with their own weapons. :D

What a crazy tournament so far, especially the quarter-finals. But as it's often the case, the real games only begin after the group phase is over.

Thank you!!!!!!! I didn't believe it could happen. :d This is the first time Russia is in semi-finals and I can't be happier - football is a very popular sport there but for some reason they have never been any good at it, until now.

You beat the Netherlands with their own weapons. :D

I guess Guus taught them a trick or two. ;D

But as it's often the case, the real games only begin after the group phase is over.

By math approach, for a team that have won 3 games in a row it is more likely that they will lose their next game. I go by math, you know. :D
