Life is life

- I am under a pile of enormous workload still but the end is nigh – the due date for the statistical return I am doing at the moment is 30 of September.. YAY!
- But my eyes are still a bit dodgy so I keep as much as possible off computer .
- I have booked stacks of holidays at the end of October and during the Christmas time (when I am going to drink punches near the fire and stay away from the maddening crowd) . YAY!
- It seems that we have reached a "penny drop" moment in doing math with Sasha because she seems to be doing better by the minute. YAY Sasha!
- And even more glee – she is going to start in the H. brass band at the end of October. May be they will give her euphonium? I am so keen on euphoniums! But may be not, it must be bigger than Sasha in size!
- The only thing I have been watching this week was "Buffy" (one must unwind after work :D) season 4 which for me is much much better then season 3. I think this is because though my high school days happened to be in the previous century my University days were not so long ago (1 year to be correct) and I can relate more. I just watched "Buffy Wants Beer" episode yesterday and it cheered me to no end, especially the moment where Buffy hit Parker at the end :D.
- Oh, and I also caught up with "The Legend" or "The story of first King's Four Gods on Tuesday (?). Fabulous story, it seems to have been quite a while since I have seen anything so coherent and well-thought through in Korean drama. I wonder if this is an adaptation?

Date: 2007-09-28 07:11 pm (UTC)Oh, I really like Riley! That TALL and direct-speaking guy? Bring him any day! I think he and Buffy will go well together! I hope he will not end up a womanizer or a vampire and also that nothing BAD will happen to him - the creators seem not to like Buffy!

Date: 2007-09-28 07:14 pm (UTC)Riley is a lovable doofus. Actually...I kinda wish he and Willow had hooked up. They would have been cute. He will not be a vampire or a womanizer, but I'm not overly fond of what they did with him towards the end, either.

Date: 2007-09-28 07:18 pm (UTC)It does seem to be highly unlikely he can get attracted to anyone but Willow, werewolf or not! Hmm, one of my favourite characters!
They would have been cute.
Oh, I saw a spark between them during their first "fateful" meeting in the library too! Please tell me he is not going to die???

Date: 2007-09-28 07:24 pm (UTC)Yes. The way they wrote him out...I understood where they were coming from on a storyline front, it just didn't fit Oz as a character at all.
If I hadn't known what was going to happen with him, and had known Oz was leaving, I would have started shipping Riley/Willow right there w/ the library scene...big lovable jock x teeny brainy girl...
Riley doesn't die, I just don't like(possibly dislike even more than Oz's writing out) the storyline they used to write him out. But he comes back in s6 to let us know he's ok and moving on.

Episodes where I saw her (season 6 I think ) had too much of being always down, down, down and never quite happy. May be there were real reasons for this but I am not convinced!

Hee! One of my favourite combinations in height too, you know! But still – Willow looked SO good with rather small but totally devoid of "small man" syndrome Oz. Oh, I am going to weep when he is gone!

Date: 2007-09-28 11:19 pm (UTC)I loved Oz for just being so amazingly uncaring and unphased by the weirdness and always being around Angel...or even Xander. I mean, it takes a real man to be so amazingly comfortable with Oz's life...

Date: 2007-09-29 10:56 pm (UTC)To start with she wasn't Oz. :P

Sometimes I think that Willow's view was that Oz just didn't care, but I think he rather was one to get on with things and may be bottle it all up. But this didn't mean he wasn't tortured inside. I watched "Wild at heart" episode yesterday and I am so very upset with everything!
