alexandral: (Dr Who - Friendship closes its eyes)

1)Project Report is a history and it was not all that bad after all! Huge thank you for support!!!!

2) This is a wonderful painting I really, really like of lady thoughtful and serene:

Rossetti - La Pia de'Tolomei

3) I think I woud like to make a header from this gorgeous painting or may be National Geographics pictures, but I don' know how. If anybody knows how to add headers I will be really, really thankful.

4) Doctor Who and Rose! I finally watched it all the way through and I am upset again that Christopher Eccleston only did one season.

Their interaction in "Father's day" gives me goose bumps and weak knees and all other sort of things (funny, this episode affects me more then a kiss in the "Parting of the Ways" )and because I am still overloaded I can't explain coherently what was so great about it but I will try:

- Dr. goes all angry because he thinks that Rose only decided to join him so she can go into the past and save her father.

- They have a row and Rose says hurtful things like "I know how sad you are, you will be waiting for me and I will make you wait a very long time"

- Rose's father suggest that Dr. and Rose are a couple and Rose goes into a crazy tirade that they are not. He!

- Doctor of course can't leave Rose alone when time is tearing apart.

- Doctor knows that the only thing that can save everybody is Rose's father's death, but because he cares so much for Rose he doesn't say or hint a thing!

- Rose and Dr. make it up and here is my FAVOURITE MOMENT when Rose keeps talking that everything is her fault and Doctor says "Just say sorry". The way he says it is just so wonderful and he has a little smile of a kind "I can do anything for you" and they love each other so much. And after that they hug.

AAAAWWWWWWWWW!

I can help you with putting a header in, as we have the same layout. Send me an email with your email address and I'll send you some info.

That painting is gorgeous! I can see why you like it so much.

And I love reading your Doctor Who comments - "Father's Day" is such an emotional episode. You would have to be a stone to not be affected by it!

Thank you ! I have not finished it 100% yet, I have to do a presentation on 27 of April, but that doesn't worry me. The Report and the Product are done, I can't change anything anymore and can finally think about other things, like LJ layout and some summer shoes ;)!
I have got my e-mail opened for the LJ friends in User Info, it is our "together" e-mail with my husband I usually use. You and [livejournal.com profile] elspetsheir are so fabulous and thank you so much! Though "THE CODES" sounds like something really complicated.. ;)

Aw. Father's Day was a lovely episode. So bittersweet and tragic.

You're using the same journal style that I am. I can send you the code for adding a header if you'd like! Do I use the e-mail address in your profile?

Yes!!! I have left my e-mail opened for LJ friends, because sometimes they probably need it..
Thank you so much! You and [livejournal.com profile] winterspel are so fabulous!

Aw. Father's Day was a lovely episode. So bittersweet and tragic. For me this episode opened a little the way Doctor's thinks and how lonely he is and how he craves inside for the "normal life" . And Rose's father was so great too!

I need more Doctor Who icons. Hee.

I've e-mailed you the code; it looks complex, but it's almost all just cut-and-paste.

I thought that Rose's father was fabulous. That was such a touching episode, and yes, Doctor Who can sometimes be cheesy, but sometimes it can be surprisingly serious and moving. I hope that the new series will continue the trend!

I can't believe myself how much I like Dr. Who! When everybody around was Dr. Who crazy last year I thought - are they sure?? I saw a clip and it looked cheesy so it took me a while to get back to watching it.

I can't wait for a new season to start.. Will you be getting it at Canada?

Yes! CBC aired episodes about a week after they aired in the UK last season, though we did get The Christmas Invasion at the same time. I can't wait for the new season. (The CBC site is slow to update with news, so I'm going to start poking around elsewhere to see if it starts April 15 here as well, or if we're waiting for April 22.)

1.27am here, I was just posting at [livejournal.com profile] winterspel's lj that I just got home from work but I saw this post and must congratulate you on finishing the POD.

As to Father's Day, I loved that episode as well. At first, I was a bit critical of Rose for screwing up time but then when I thought about it - I couldn't blame her at all. Anyone would do that in the same position, in a way it demonstrates the doctor's alienness' because he didn't anticipate what Rose would do. It was a very tender and touching episode.

Sorry you have to work so late!

I was a bit critical of Rose for screwing up time but then when I thought about it - I couldn't blame her at all. She did it more on an impulse and she didn't know consequences, though I was a little cross with her when she took the baby Rose after Doctor said "Don't touch the BABY!". Who knows, if she didn't do it Doctor probably would have sorted everything by Tardis and Rose's father would nor have to die.

it demonstrates the doctor's alienness' because he didn't anticipate what Rose would do. And it was so wonderful and sad when Doctor talked to the couple who were going to get married that he can never have "just normal" life. You know, Dr. Who has all the clumsy effects and jokes, but some things it this series about are really deep in non-flashy way..

I have watched "Children in need" episode and I am glad I did! It shown how the change is affecting the Doctor and his relationship with Rose.

reposted b/c I can't type

The Children In Need Special is so sweet because at first he comes across as quite lighthearted and devil may care but he has that moment of seriousness when he approaches her and tells her how he remembers how they first met ...... and then when she asks him if he can change back, he immediately demands: "Do you want me to?" You can tell he cares and he must be hurt/sad inside that Rose is 'rejecting' him.

I do enjoy the light-hearted playfulness that Tennant brings to the role. It will be interesting to see if also has that thread of angst that Christopher Eccleston had as well.

Yesss! I got that too! In a way this change of person is really playing out nicely now for me because it adds so much to the angst of situation and David does look very interesting when he is in angst. And he has lovely Scottish accent. In fact, he looks like one of our friend from the Church, Scottish lad too. I hope that they will not make David do too many flippant scenes. I adore CE's crazy grin, but I am not used completely to David's crazy grin :)

Congrats on completing your project! :)

It looks like you already have someone to help you with your header.

You know, it's funny, but last night I was downloading pre-raphaelite paintings because I want to make icons with them. And this is one of the paintings I downloaded. It IS beautiful.

Congratulations on finishing The Giant Project!

I've only seen a little bit of Dr. Who but I think the doc and Rose have wonderful chemistry and I can't wait to see more.

Thank you so much!

I find that films or books particular "get me" when they have relationship which I can go crazy about. I hope so much that later in ASOIF Martin brings somebody in for Jon the way he did for Jaime. And anyway - I CAN FINISH ASOS and AFFC now !! O joy!

You have got so many wonderful things ahead! The ending was also FANTASTIC!!! AND DALEKS!

I was pretty sad about the girl that the daleks were using as the communications mechanism - how she sacrificed her life etc. Also you did recognise Bessy Higgins didn't you in the episode where they go the space station for the first time? Also Fanny Thornton was the girl in the Dalek episode that was in the 'Big Brother' show :)

Definitely. I love all the way how story about Daleks is unfolded in Dr. Who. That scene when Doctor sees the last surviving Dalek gives me goosebumps. I think CE did marvelous job there, because - Hey! This thing looked just like a big pepper pot and he managed to convey so much hatred, fear and emotion that he made me feel the same way about Daleks. I recognized Bessy Higgins in "The Long Game" and Fanny too! And "BAd Wolf" plus "The parting of Ways" are amazing episodes!

Project of Doom is history!! YAY!!! *party time* I'm so happy for you!!!

I love that painting as well! She looks so serene. Is it by Dante Gabriel Rosetti? Who's the painter?

I add my header in the external .css thingy... [livejournal.com profile] winterspell also gave me some codes to add one from the admin console but I can't find them, my hardrive is a coplete disorganized mess :(

Oh! I also love Father's Day, it's such an emotional episode. I have to admit that I cried my eyes out when I saw it, because it's so sad *wails*
