World Cup 2010 : icons

One week down, I have more or less decided on the teams I am going to cheer for (in order of intensity):

1. Italy
2. Netherlands : because I am a materialistic person and this is my sweepstakes team. I also like the team, the orange uniform and the best looking coach of 2010 Bert Van Marwijk. Also I have suddenly remembered that I have friends in Rotterdam.
3. Brazil : this is always a magical team for me.
4. Argentina : the team of Messi plus the most hilarious coach of ever Maradona
5. Serbia : again, for materialistic sweepstake reasons and because Milan Jovanovic is nice
6. Ivory Coast : Didier Drogba.

As promised to fabulous queenofthorns, I have made some icons with Maradona and Rafa Marquez. And because I felt compelled to, I also made some icons of Messi, Italian team, Netherlands, Brazil and Serbia

I am so sorry! I made that one for myself : I think the referees in this championship have been giving yellow cards like hotcakes, there really must be something going on with the rules.

Oh no no, I love it! The carding this tournament have been out of control. Grrr. And while I approve of carding for diving (Oezil laughed his off, as he should've; I'd like to see C. Ronaldo get his fair share!) today's carding of the NZ player for taking to long to hobble off the field with cramps was ridiculous.

I want Portugal to lose to North Korea SO BADLY and preferably for Ronaldo to receive a yellow card for diving.

But yes, there were few very odd yellow cards - quite few for arguing with the referee which used to be "allowed" before!
