Wow! They can make period dramas on BBC! I am in awe and anticipate 14 weeks more of Victorian grim delight. I am not the biggest fan of Dickens, but "Bleak house" makes such an exceptionally special television. Atmosphere! Cast! Characters!

I think Jillian Anderson has proved again what an astonishing actress she is. When I saw her in “House of Mirth”, she made me cry real tears. I do have emotional moments quite often, but that was special. And she was brilliant today in “Bleak House”, really brilliant.

I am a bit lost with the story and I will really-really appreciate if somebody has enough time to spoil me and tell me in short where the story is going. I will be theirs for life. If Lady Dedlock’s heart is going to be broken completely, I have to know!!!!!! And who will be lovely Esther’s chosen one?

All cast was amazing, Esther (Anna Maxwell Martin) was so good!

I started watching the first episode last night/this morning...I've only gotten halfway through, but so far I'm really enjoying it. It's is very intriguing! I have not read the novel, but I am thinking about reading it now.

I love period dramas, so I'm not surprised that I like this, but what I am surprised is that the production values are so high...BBC has come a long way in their productions - the film quality is very high, the music is good and so is the cinematography which is a bit more modern and less "stately" which actually makes the story more dramatic and less stuffy.

Thank you so very much for sharing info with me on how to find these episodes! I can't wait to watch more and I'll let you know what I think.

OOOOOOOO, i am so happy you like it!!!

cinematography which is a bit more modern Definitely, it seems to be as a film noire at some places, in the Lady Deadlock's house for example, really cleverly done!
