“Three colours: Red” is one of my favourite films of all times, flawless perfection, I could not stop myself from making icons. Icons are free to share ,if you like I will make customizations, like text and etc., for you.

4. 5. 6.

“Chinese Odyssey 2002” is so happy and colourful, I felt it would be a shame to add anything to the colours ;) I love actor's faces in this film and would love to make a mood theme (if i just knew how to do it!)

Waaaghhh I love them all. What am I going to do? I have to delete 3 icon spaces now. My favourites are 3, 5, 9, 10 and 16. I love them all and will take them all though :) Faye is so cute in this as is Vicky Zhao. waaagghhh. Thank you. :)

O, i am so happy you like them! I was trying to post them before you go to Australia ;) Vicky Zhao was incredible, i have never seen her before, but she is so lovely. And their faces!! **Still wants to make a mood theme**

Making a mood theme is simple. First you have to think about the size of your mood theme icons (I prefer width 250 height 83 pixels) this is up to you.
When you save your icons best use the mood theme moods like energetic etc. so you can later upload the correct icons to your mood theme manager (http://www.livejournal.com/manage/moodthemes.bml).
First create a new mood theme with the name of your choosing and then you can edit it by uploading your mood theme icons to photobucket and copying the URL to the manager.

Thank you so much for the info! I keep returning to this idea, but I guess I need a little more time. HAve you seen "Chinese Odyssey"? It is a lot of fun!!!

By the way you probably don't need any more screen caps but feel free to use any of the screen caps I did in my pic spam (http://koalathebear.livejournal.com/198290.html). There are some more funny faces in there :D

I will get back to it, i think .. Mood theme is in my head now and will not leave (i know myself) ;)

Thank you for the caps!

I would adore a Chinese Oddysey 2 mood theme. They're hard to do. My amelie one is nice because the faces are not 'squashed'. I notice that the Battlestar Galactica one a lot of people use have squashy faces and the colours are not very nice.

Now I'm using a Chinese Oddysey 2 Icon that [livejournal.com profile] ginger001 made that I love. :)

If you can get Shaolin Soccer - Vicky is adorable in that. She's also good in Goddess of Mercy (http://www.livejournal.com/users/koalathebear/301379.html) but that is VERY sad.

I agree with you that the images 'as is' are best for this movie, it would be a shame to colour them. I hope you post to the [livejournal.com profile] asian_movies, and [livejournal.com profile] wongkarwai communities. Do you mind if I post a link at [livejournal.com profile] fayewong?

O, thank you so much for giving me all these community ideas. I have joined all of them ;)
And surely - YOU DON'T need to ask if you can post links! Please!

I hope you are asleep already ;)

Talented [livejournal.com profile] realtanala said that tiny text would look good on icon 16 , so i have added another one with tiny text. I adore [livejournal.com profile] realtanala's icons and the way she uses tiny text ;)

I am really serious about "mood theme" , but i have PROJECT OF DOOM and it must wait. But hopefully i will get there ;)

Thank you again!
From: [identity profile] koalathebear.livejournal.com
Well I was asleep but was woken up by an angry Chinese man yelling angrily on the telephone next door - the walls are a little thin :)

I love the tiny text effect on #17. I think icons are still allowed to be 'minimal' with tiny text :D

It's just for movies like Chinese Odyssey (which I am actually spelling correctly this time), the colour is so vivid that I love icons which capture that. Do you think you'll change #16 again? I'm waiting for the final [livejournal.com profile] alexandral happy version of the icon before I replace the one I have ;) I love it, it looks like a Japanese painting.

PS: Good luck with your Project of Doom. I look forward to the mood theme which I will definitely use. If I can be of any assistance, let me know :)

PS: Sorry for posting/deleting/posting. I'm so tired I think my brain is dying :)
From: [identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com
I have re-posted the icon, i have found a Chinese character for "love", one girl posted some chinese characters sometime ago, thank you [livejournal.com profile] joyfulsong. Or at least it looks like Chinese character for me ;)

I would appreciate your help in the making of the "mood theme", if you just could write down the list of your favourite moods, it would be great! I love your moods! "Dorky" and all such things ;)
From: [identity profile] koalathebear.livejournal.com
It's beautiful. I'm using it now I think :)

As to the mood theme, I don't think they give you a choice. You have to use the moods LJ provides for! For instance with the Amelie ones, they're here (http://onlinerock.com/fans/kcr//amelie.html). Sometimes I don't like the description of a face so I 'type over the top' in the mood box in the journal entry but you have to formally stick with the existing moods. It's up to the user if they want to add other things. eg. today for the 'rushed' amelie icon, I typed 'distracted'. For instance, I'd love a mood that was called totally demented but there isn't that, I type it in myself :)

These are gorgeous! I love the 'natural' colors - I'm a big fan of this style of icons, that are bright and natural. I also really like the "music" icon from Red! :) Thanks for sharing, dear.

I haven't seen either one of these movies. Your icons are beautiful. You have a nack for making them I believe. :)

Some tiny text on that number 16 icon would look awesome.

Unfortunately text is a challenge in an icon. Sometimes tiny text looks good with a little decoration in the middle. That icon looks wonderful without text though. :)

Thank you! I am so glad you liked it!

As you see half of the "Red" icons have Rita and Valentine - i really loved their relationship this time, i don't remember noticing it so much before. But again, i didn't have a dog back then ;)

Great things are always worthy re-watching ;)

Hee! I was very upset with the judge at first about his indifference to Rita, but I loved him in the end when he was playing with the puppies :P

What kind of a dog do you have, by the way?

Hee! I was very upset with the judge at first about his indifference to Rita, but I loved him in the end when he was playing with the puppies

I was also so angry with him for that, especially when Rita escaped from Valentine and went back to the judge, this is so typical of dogs, they just love you, not love you because ..
I love the moment when judge chooses the little puppy for Valentine **shiffs**, and then he reads about the ferry and it is so lovely though extremely heartbreaking ..

Our dog is a "terrier cross" , she looks like Bedlington Terrier because her father was Bedlington. Her mother was Border terrier. She is not small, but "medium" size. Built for speed and very loving. I should make a "doggy picture essay" one day, after we cut her hair - she looks to shaggy now ;)

Yes! That was just … gah! I did not like him at that point. And then the young judge abandons HIS dog and I was so mad at him, but he went back and got it, the cutie. (I didn’t see the little dog during the ferry accident scenes so I hope he got out, yikes!)

Sniff! And for a moment the judge’s world just comes crashing down. Awww, I love that movie so much!

Your dog sounds adorable! I love Bedlingtons – they look like little sheep, so cute!! Please do a photo essay when you feel she’s properly groomed :)

I know you have probably moved on, but i just can't stop myself from more doggy conversation ;)

And then the young judge abandons HIS dog I was very mad when young judge snapped at his dog after he was rejected by the blond woman. Dog saw that young judge was upset and was all "i am going to comfort him", and then.. Very sad, but so typical!

I didn't see the little dog during the ferry accident scenes so I hope he got out, yikes!

Never thought about it, but truly i also didn't notice the dog in the news report about the accident. I guess when a person is drowning he/she is bound to let go of the dog.. SAD!!!! Dog must have drowned, though there is a hope. ;( Or when young judge and Valentine are married he can have one of the Rita's puppies for himself and give it a name of the old dog ** sniffs**

Funny thing i thought - How did they let him in on a ferry? When i moved to England, i had to give my cat to my friend because i found out that on arriving to UK you have to put an animal into quarantine, and traveling arrangements were unclear too ;(

Yes, although I like the parallel between the young and the old judge - and this was another one of them. Just, the young judge had no Valentine at that point :)

I bet they rescued the little dog and he and Valentine's puppy are going to be totally in synch. Yes!! YES!!!

I didn't think about the quarantine thing at all, actually ;) Although, I guess it was just really impulsive that he even took the dog - I thought they had relaxed those restrictions recently for animals from the European Union, although American dogs still need to go into quarantine.

I adore all the Chinese Odyssey icons! :) I love this movie and I cannot agree more with you, it's totally colourful and happy! It cheers me up every time I see it!

Oh! A mood theme from this movie would be fabulous. I've never tried making one myself, but I guess you just need to make a mood icon for every mood. I have a moodtheme I downloaded from [livejournal.com profile] crackified, he or she gives instructions about how to upload the moodtheme and the whole set of images you need to upload to your image hosting. I've always wanted to make a mood theme, but I don't have the patience to make the more than 100 mood icons.

Ooh, I really like your Red icons. I haven't decided which ones I'll take yet. Most definitely some doggy ones.

In case you decide to work on that mood theme idea, there's some good starting info here, http://www.livejournal.com/doc/html/moodicons.html#newthemes
Let me warn you, it's great fun, but it also takes over your brain and doesn't let go. I made a Pride and Prejudice mood theme last year and let me tell you, I was walking around all zombie like and staying up night after night.
(in case you're interested, I also posted some instructions and examples here (http://gobi-rex.livejournal.com/47230.html)).
