+ I am having a great day!! I had a "rethink" on Friday and decided that I must go to bed in a good time (before 12 pm) , no matter how much I want to watch the lovely things I have been watching lately. And I must make myself to go to the park with the dog at least once a day (good for me, good for the dog) to keep my RSIs away. And it seems that after three days of self discipline I feel marvelous. I am alert, I don’t forget anything and I feel LIFE is WONDERFUL!

+ I have been craving all sorts of Chinese/Japanese food lately. It must be somehow connected with the recent Asian drama addiction. Especially lately, Yoo-rin from Korean drama “My Girl” is such a good eater that this totally tipped me over the edge. My friends and I went to my favourite Chinese restaurant in Leeds, "Red chilli" for lunch. They make wonderful exotic dishes, like Sea cucumber and Pig intestines and that sweet dish my dearest hates, “Donkey rolled in mud”. The lunch menu is more of the main-stream, though also fantastic.

Red chilli! Fooooooood pictures: Not dial-up friendly

"Red Chilli" is in the building on the left:

Fancy decorative plate. I will appreciate very much if someone can translate this.

I love these tables with the turning glass in the middle. Obviously made for the big feast when everyone can share:

Another decoration. I am very intrigued as to what it is!

Jasmine tea. I looooooooove it!

Chicken and sweetcorn soup:

"Beijing hot and sour soup". YUUUUUUM!!

Spare ribs:

Spring rolls:

Main dishes, "Beef in black bean souce" and special fried rice:

Singaporean vermicelli:

And just because I was wearing them, my favourite pair of shoes! Very comfortable!

+ And because it is such a wonderful day, my friends persuaded me to go and see "Casino Royale" with them. Yay! Daniel Craig! I am going to see you soon!!!! In half an hour, in fact!

+ I am right in the middle of lovely Korean drama "My Girl". More on My Girl I posted in [livejournal.com profile] dorama_chat

Oh, you made me so hungry!!!!!!! that glass that spins in the middle of the table is what we call a 'Lazy Susan' - I just love that label/ name, it sounds so ... Just what it is.

I complain about the cats getting me up - but it Does help. I resent it awfully at the time, but the head start makes a huge difference to the rest of the day.

What awesome shoes, but wow!
since I live barefoot or in sneakers, I am thankful no one takes photos of my shoes ::grin::

Aww! I love this too! You know, a mop is called "lazy woman" (or something like that) in Russian?

What awesome shoes

EEEEEE! I am glad you like them! I am afraid I often terribly unkind to my feet, but these ones are really not at all difficult to walk in!!

Mmmm, all this food is making me hungry, and I've just eaten.

And it seems that after three days of self discipline I feel marvelous

I'm so glad you're feeling better. And I know exactly how this goes, I also feel much better when I go to bed early and eat well and exercise. Fannish obsession are all good, until they begin to take over your sleep. ;-)

I adore your shoes. So very pretty. Isn't purple one of your favorite colors?

I'm so glad you're feeling better.

Though I just did a crazy thing - watched "CAsino Royale" quite lat at night. I think I didn't expect to like it this much, I feel all buzzing!

Fannish obsession are all good, until they begin to take over your sleep.

I also seem to obsess much more easily when tired. No good at all ** headshake **

I adore your shoes. So very pretty. Isn't purple one of your favorite colors?

It is now ** grin **. My friend brought me a coat of intense purple colour last year from Russia and now I seem to collect everything to match. She got me these shoes too. :D

Oh, the hot and sour soup looks grand. So does the Singapore rice noodle dish -- ahhhhh. Make me wanna go to Toronto for decent Chinese food!

Lovely shoes, by the way. I don't know how you handle them, but nice shoes!

We are going to the Chinese restaurant tomorrow as well - one of our guys from work goes back to India. It is not like I am complaining or anything :).

Lovely shoes, by the way. I don't know how you handle them, but nice shoes!

Thank you! Honestly, because the heel is so steady , it makes them comfortable to wear

Ooooh! Have a wonderful time at Casino Royale!

Oh my gosh! I never thought it is going to be SO good! And what did they do to make his eyes so blue? Ok, in my dreams his eyes are of this unbelievable blueness. I am definitely going to watch this again. The thing is - I don't think I can sleep now!

I want Chinese food. Also, your shoes. They are fabulous. The colour! The style! SO AWESOME!

(I love Jasmine Tea and I always order that chicken and sweetcorn soup. There's something really comforting about.)

And huzzah for James Bond! I do hope that you enjoyed it!!!

I can't believe I am in love with JAMES BOND! Oh my gosh! Daniel Craig is unbelievable! I don't have anything coherent to say!!! Apart from that I think I am going to watch "Casino Rayale" again! And blueness of eyes - I think it was somehow artificially increased, but I don't care!!!

I love Jasmine Tea

I bought some "Green Peach" Whittards tea leafs today too. Lovely, lovely tea is my weakness!

They are fabulous. The colour! The style! SO AWESOME!

I am so glad you like them!

Isn't he marvelous? I noticed his blue blue eyes in The Ice House years ago and thought, "Why doesn't everyone know this man??".

And I just ordered Chinese food for dinner - YUM.

The shoes are so stylish and fun - I love that vibrant colour, adding one item that gives your whole outfit "sparkle"!

I just had a sleep, but my infatuation hasn't disappeared. OMPH! BLUE EYES! What a pity one has to go to work and church and can't just spend days in watching Bond. I absolutely recommend "Archangel" (BBC drama), Daniel Craig is as close as it could be to his Bond persona in it.

They are a prt with my intense-coloured coat (I have written about it here:http://alexandral.livejournal.com/2005/11/18/). I loooove vibrant colours!

You, I find steady heels easy to walk in. Absolutely flat shoes give me ache in a middle of my sole. Ok, at least this is my excuse. :)

Mmmm I love Chinese food. Jasmine tea is so good. But that is the case for most Chinese tea, too :) I also love Oolong, but for black tea my fave is Twinings Earl Grey (yeah sorry about the rambling there, LOL). Another thing I love about going to Chinese restaurants (and most other fancy restaurants) is that they use really nice china. I *love* fine china! ;) If they weren't so expensive I'd be an avid collector, LOL. As for the turning tables, they are actually very common in most Chinese homes. My friend (who is partly Chinese) has one like that in her home.

Alexander, you just made me very hungry!!! ^o^

EEEEE! Any talk about TEA is good for me. :D I like Earl Grey too - many guys at work have some milk with it (not my way - I think it should be drunk black **grin**)

I love love love China too. We collect bone china coffee cups at home.

Thank you so much for the information - I did have a feeling the tables are traditional. YAY! I want one at home! It is not like we need it or anything, just three of us.

EEEEE! Any talk about TEA is good for me.
I have this fascination with tea and coffee. If I drink alcohol, I imagine I'd probably have a really sensitive palate ;) I like drinking Chinese tea without sugar, but Earl Gray is nice with sugar and a hint of lemon :D Have you tried Lady Grey though? The aroma is interesting but nothing beats Earl Grey! ^o^

We collect bone china coffee cups at home.
I collect bone china too! My faves are Royal Doulton and Noritake (Japanese). They're usually so beautiful :p

I don't drink alcohol, almost never. I agree - Earl Grey goes well with sugar ( I haven't tried lemon, but I will next time - any black tea or coffee tastes great with lemons). I like LAdy Grey too - we have about 20 different varieties of tea at work. I will make a photo one day :)

Quite few of our little coffee cups are Royal Dalton, I love it!! (and I am sure to find more about Noritake !!)

Oh, don't worry at all! This name comes from Leonard Cohen's song I adore - "Alexandra Leaving". I took it as my username, but now I wish I had it in full - alexandra_leaving. It gets people confused with 1 and l looking the same.

I thought so, but felt shy to ask!!! Dian is a lovely name. :D

To confuse the matters even more, Alexandra in my daughter's full name (you see that I like it ** grin). Sasha is one of the Russian shortenings from Alexandra.

Eee! I love the shoes! I really like the match between the purple and the light blue - very nice. The food pictures are also very nice. They are making me hungry here, and it's not even time for lunch.

I'm also a little envious that you have seen James Bond - I haven't had the time yet, and probably will not until I get back to Norway in over a week. It's just that everybody has been raving about it so now I want to see it even more.

I have a coat that goes very well with the shoes, both items were brought by my friend from Russia. And never thought before that turquoise blue goes so well with purple. I have got a turquoise scarf yesterday.

I'm also a little envious that you have seen James Bond

I can't think about anything else but Daniel Craig now. Complete infatuation.

But Rome is still completely worthy of waiting!!
