** laughs ** See, I made all that up. I was fond of him always, but he was a total scene-stealer in "Sherlock Holmes".

I WOULD LOVE to have him as Stannis. Another favourite choice of mine is Christopher Eccleston , again, if he joins the show as Stannis, I will be the biggest Stannis fan in the universe.

I hate the word "stan", but it's oddly fitting for Stannis. ;D

I am not fond of it too, I am so old fashioned. And the next time someone is going to use the world flawless - I might scream. I like the word, but it is used too often.

Yes. I adored him so much in Sherlock Holmes (and him having the cutest, most evil fluffy sidekick ever was another plus). It impresses me that he steals every scene he's in, ad yet he still never makes the other actors look back. It's impressive.

Christopher Eccleston would be good, too, I wouldn't mind him, of all the possible actors whose names I've heard thrown around. Unfortunately people often suggest actors who are way too old. Even considering that the show ages everyone up (Stannis, like Ned&Robert, is in his mid-30s, but they were also placed by actors in their 40s ... or even 50s by now?) ... I don't want an old guy past 60 to play Stannis, it would just look weird.

Haha, I'm okay with "flawless", although it is a bit overused. But "stan" makes me want to throw things at people. Especially when used as verb.
