The Game of Thrones: episodes 6 and 7.

I am in a middle of a massive icon spree (on which I am spending all my non-working time), so I have to be really really short:

The episodes were really good. We are through 70% of this season! I LOVE Tyrion and I LOVE Bronn. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Jaime is also my poor darling.



Cersei is continuing to be shown as a poor misunderstood woman who loves her children and loved Robert and now even allows him to hit her, when her man Jaime is not there to protect her (I know the hitting scene was in the book, but the accents the show placed are the show's). I have seen few comments from folk who think that this Cersei makes much less misogynistic representation of a woman than the book's Cersei, but for me it is the other way around. The book Cersei needed no one and loved no one, but herself and Jaime (as a mirror of herself). And she loved her kids as a mirror of herself as well. She was a younger copy of Lord Tywin. And isn't Lord Tywin so so awesome? He is probably my favourite casting in the show, and he is definitely my favourite evil character, I just can't help but admire his intelligence (even when it is evil) and his cool .


One last note: This show definitely has a thing about whores and brothels.

Finally Ned has found out about the hair color hint (too little too late though)

It was a little anticlimactic. I mean- my daughter has blond hair and both my husband and I are dark-haired. People ALWAYS point this out to us, always. Wouldn't it be the same in that day and age? I know they didn't have any idea about genes, but they still noticed those things.

There was a moment when I though "WOW! Cersei!" but then Rob hit her .. and.. I didn't like how she reacted.

I agree. It was fleshed out better in the novels, especially after Jon Arryn's last words, which make sense if we consider blonde hair as a recessive tract into Baratheon House.

I still hope a lot of things were developped better, but I know I can't expect too much considering there are only 10 episodes, and a lot of things must be placed there.

However, I hope we'll have more sparks of "true Cercei" in the future ^^

I think this is the main problem - the book is so massive and to fit it in 10 episodes is difficult. I think they did a good job as it is!I wish they could make 22 episodes. :P

I think if Cersei starts to be the evil self I like, I might get confused as to what is going on inside her head. It doesn't look as if she is "faking it".
