Lee Min Ho? Personal Taste?

I was scouting around, checking pictures of Lee Min Ho so that I can gather enough interest to watch "Personal Taste", because I want to find something big and powerful to add to weekly doses of "Cinderella's sister" (but nothing seems big and powerful enough, and I totally blame Chuno for this :D) and look what I have found:



I am so easily amused.










Personal Taste? On one hand I am dying to see Lee Min Hoo pretending to be gay. On another, from what I have heard the heroine is not really my type. But there is a wonderful kiss with crying. I am torn.

Edit: Anyone watching "Cinderella's sister", there is a lovely recap of the episode 5 by princess_dexter, Here. I am still loving the drama, the last two episodes were setting up the future story lines. I have only two things to say : Ki Hoo , I love you, I understand you and I weep for you and the Writer: please no terminal illness.

He doesn't really pretend to be gay, rather the female character assumes he is, and though he does try to tell her, she doesn't believe him.

I like the heroine myself. She's not the super-strong-girl type, rather absent-minded and not put together (which I like, because that's so like how I am :D )

As for the kiss, well, it's not really that romantic. Min Ho's character is drunk...

Yay! I personally really like it (not as much as Oh My Lady, but still). The first 4-ish episodes are slow, but it's still interesting. The drunk kiss is at the end of episode 6 (which isn't subbed yet). The kiss isn't really romantic (or at least it didn't seem hugely romantic to me, but then, I couldn't understand what they were saying!), but everything leading up to it is!

I say go for it with PT! It's not my cup of tea (or soju :P) but we've disagreed on dramas before (YAB etc) and it really is worth checking out for yourself - you never know, it may click. It certainly has its fans and at worse you'd only have wasted an hour (or less with fast-forwarding).

You see, that was before, but all those long conversations really rubbed on me and though I still totally adore Min Nam (who is 18 and just out of monastery so has an excuse to be world-unadjusted) I don't think I am ready for this type of herouine as an older person. It doesn't even seem as if she is good at her job (which is a must for a herouine of her age for me - and even Mi Nam had it) .

I know I am going to love PP, I liked both "Legally Blond" and Cordelia in Angel and Park Shi Hoo is one of "he does it for me in a big way" actors. I am going to enjoy this properly.

Edit: I have started WW, though. It is a cautious love from me at the moment, I love the secondary OTP.

Re: YAB and Minam. Yes. While, as you know, I found her helplessness/naivete a bit grating, she was a teen out of a convent so yeah, not too shocking - it may not have been my thing but it wasn't unexpected (the same with Jandi in BOF - I was very irritated with her helplessness and views on love in second half but she is a high school girl, it's not unrealistic). I expect someone in their late 20s to be more mature.

I want my heroines to fall into one of two categories - (1) someone who I think would be fun to hang out with in real life (e.g. secondary OTP girl in WW); (2) or someone I think is interesting or praiseworthy (e.g. Eun Jo in CU - she is not someone I want to be around but she is a fascinating character).

Sadly PT lady falls into neither for me.

I kind of understood everyone's annoyance with BOF at the end - it is not exactly like manga and it changes direction somewhere in the middle (a bit). But I will still love it forever because it gave me Yi Jung/Ga Eul. You know how many sleepless nights I spent after "Meteor Garden" imagining their story??? It could be a small thing for some, but I loved it.

What's your kind of heroine? Kae-in is not bad, imho. I've seen worse (the one heroine that I outright hated and had to force myself to find qualities I liked about her otherwise I had to drop the drama? Yoo-rin in My girl, omg! I wanted to strangle her so much!)

I can't say much about Personal taste just yet. I only watched 2 eps (I'm saving ep 3 and 4 for tomorrow is going to be a tough day and I WILL need something I like to unwind) and they were funny. It's not my current crack, but it's one of the dramas I want to savor, if that makes sense? I think it has lots of potential. It's no Cinderella's sister, though.

Thank you so much for the shout out! I'm trying to do a response post to every episode from this point on, but I'd forgotten how much work they were and now I'm too tired to do my write up for ep 6 (I might leave that till later in the week). But yes, lots of stuff happened in these two eps - they've set the scene for the current era and I love how every single character has changed (...with the exception of EJ's mother, I HATE HER).

LMH is a very attractive boy, and he's also a talented actor, which I like. Personal Taste isn't high on my list of dramas to watch - I think I'm going to wait until it's all done and just marathon it then. :)

I can't even express how I hate EJ's mom. I mean - all thse years living happily? Wouldn't she feel at least thankful to HS's father? Even if she doesn't love him, a normal person will at least be grateful!!!

LMH needs a big angsty drama , IMHO, but her seems to be picking up rom coms.
