Dorama update
May. 3rd, 2007 06:59 pmI have been watching quite few doramas recently, some of the currently aired ones and some of the older ones:
Anego I have finished Anego, I totally loved it. I liked the open ending and ( I liked, spoilers )
Proposal Daisakusen I must be in a minority here and I am really sorry, but I didn't like it all that much. It wasn't bad for me and the main heroine Rei is very sweet but watching of the first episode required quite a bit of using "fast forward" button as it seems to be developing quite slowly.. I am also not a fan of this storyline – going into the past for 100 times in attempt to change something usually results in much repetition. But I am not giving up on it yet, I have only seen 1 episode I am going to see how this develops!!!
Liar GameI am really drawn to it. It has some lovely quality of originally, especially in it's cinematography. It seems to me that many Japanese dramas adopt quite uniform colouring of warm yellows and natural browns which I grown to like recently. But Liar game has a fiest of colous – pinks and reds and blues. And of course, "Liar Game" has a fast-moving interesting story and it also has Matsuda Shota as Shinichi. Just look at this post by

Hanayome to Papa I watched it from
winterspel's recommendation and it was an instantaneous love!! (Drama Wiki's info: Hanayome to Papa)
( Hanayome to Papa. Let me tell it all in pictures: )
Mawang I have been following this very faithfully, I find it very intriguing. This is definitely no your run-of-the-mill kdrama, it is rather quite intricately done supernatural crime story.

The roots of the story are in the past crime, in the death of the only brother of a very talented young lawyer, Oh Seung Ha (Jo Ji Hoon). This crime went somehow unpunished and in the present time an unknown killer is taking revenge on everyone involved in this past crime. A young and energetic policeman Kang Oh Soo (Uhm Tae Woong) is investigating the string of deaths connected together by the killer's signature. This signature is a tarot card that he sends to every victim. It is not clear yet, but Kang Oh Soo seems to be connected somehow to Oh Seung Ha's brother's death. During the cause of his investigation Kang Oh Soo asked for some help from a psychic, a beatiful yong woman Seo Hae In (played by Shin Min Ah). Seo Hae In is working in a library where she meets Oh Seung Ha by chance.
"Mawang" keeps me fully engaged and afraid to miss a word, everything seems to be connected and quite complex. This is quite unusual for kdramas, they are normally quite easy to watch.. Jo Ji Hoon is absolutely mesmerizing there and I also adore Kang Oh Soo (Uhm Tae Woong) because is so full of vivacity
( Screencaps from Mawang. This drama is filmed gorgeously! Mostly Jo Ji Hoon: )
