It is Lee Byun Hun picture time

By popular demand and because I love him to bits, let's post some pictures of Lee Byun Hun this Friday! I am very much involved into watching "You're beautiful" at the moment and obsessing over Jang Geun Suk, but this doesn't mean I have forgotten all my other favourites. Not at all. Lee Byun Hun can be seen at the moment in the latest Korean "big drama" phenomena, "Iris" . "IRIS" is a Korean big-budget version of James Bond, crossed with "La femme Nikita", crossed with "Alias", all mixed together and multiplied by ten, with angst, blood, conspiracies, romances, strong mysterious heroines and tortured heroes added. Also everyone wears black and the main guy (that would be Lee Byun Hun) takes his shirt off at least once per episode. The results are – so far this drama is very popular in Korea and has been already bought by few other countries. I am enjoying it too. :D

"Bittersweet life" has it's flaws but I really liked it. Speaking of Kim Ji Woon, I want to re-watch "A Tale of two sisters" now. It is still the scary-movie season. :D

I am glad it was useful! To be honest, I don't understand the obsession Korean media has with ratings. In USA bad ratings means the show is going to be canceled, but in Korea - unless the ratings are so bad that the show is going to be cut (in my memory, this happened only with 2-3 dramas) - what is the fuss about?

I completely agree with you. Another thing is the drama wars. I very much like both YB and Iris, but I understand there is some cross-drama bashing going on in the Korean fandom circles. Can't people enjoy both, I ask?!

I also like both, but although the dramas I very different YAB does much more for me at the moment than IRIS.

I understand this a bit better from POV of YAB fans - I think IRIS and YAB hit totally different segments in viewership - quite a big percentage on teen fans of YAB don't think too much about the older stars of IRIS. The fans are young and they more prone to extremes.

But IRIS fans? I didn't even realise there could be a problem from their point of view until recently. People getting not happy because the ratings are 30% instead of 40%?? Count me surprised.

Awesome, I was just talking about him with lage_nom_ai. I LOVED him in A Bittersweet Life! He's gorgeous and actually age-appropriate for once, ha ha. I can't wait to see I Came With the Rain or whatever that movie is with Josh.

EEEE! I am so glad you like, and yes - age appropriateness is a nice thing (but the lack of it never stopped me before :D). "I Come with the Rain" also has Takya Kimura who is my big love amongst Japanese actors, so I am really looking forward to this one.

Lee Byun Hun has also been in "Joint Security Area" (great film) and "The Good, the bad and The weird" (happy-go-lucky homage to "The Good , the bad and the ugly" , done by the same director that did "Bittersweet life").

I saw a promo for the Rain movie and it looks really interesting! And the cast is handsome. I'm quite excited.

He is indeed known for being very shy, goofy, and sort of awkward, but he transforms into "intense tough guy rapper" on stage, and he's always really good at playing roles in videos - disappears right into them.
