As my "world cinema" programme i have watched "The Field" today. It was for me one of the movies "that made me think" rather then something i am going to watch again when i am feeling tired and blue; it was very Shakespeare in Irish countryside setting..The shots of Ireland were beautiful - i went to Ireland last year for holidays with my friend and fell in love with the country. It is amazing! I want to live there! Sean Bean is very-very young and cute (as cute as it gets)

I have been reading "A Game of Thrones" , though nicely and slowly. I adore the book! This one of the rare books : i don't wish it to finish. Usually i am impatient and start "swallowing" the books, but this one is just nice!

Up to moment the killing of Lady the cute direwolf made the biggest impact on me (even more then Bran's story).
I guess i should start writing down all the numbers of the crow's eyes in Bran's dream and things like that? They are significant? And i guess they will find some dragons somewhere and Bran is going to fly them? DON'T be afraid to spoil me!

Yes, there are dragons; no, we don't KNOW that Bran is going to fly them; all of Bran's dreams are really significant (I was going to do a post about all the different prophecies and what I think they mean ;))

And Lady made me more upset than anything else until, um, some other upsetting stuff :p

All of G.R.R. Martin's books are full of things that are significant everywhere...you really have to pay attention and remember details to put all the pieces together. For example, pay attention whenever anyone remembers what happened in the previous war fifteen years ago. Sometimes he has a few different characters remembering or thinking about the same thing, and you learn different things this way about the same thing (for example, the greet keep of Harrenhall and its history, is explained to us via many different people), but also things like tourneys and what happened at those tourneys in the past can sometimes be verrry interesting!

I'm really glad you're enjoying it! :)

Thank you! i am at about 2/5 of "A Game of Thrones" now, and i started noticing that many of the characters started having dreams, and sort of prophecies. I will watch out!

[livejournal.com profile] queenofthorns already answered your specific questions, so I'll just chime in with everyone else and say that paying attention to the details in these books is always rewarding. Unfortunately, I have one of those brains that seems to leak details like a sieve, so I know there are a ton of subtleties I'm missing, despite having reread the first three books over the summer to prepare for A Feast for Crows. I'll undoubtedly be re-rereading them and discovering more details each time.

Unfortunately, I have one of those brains that seems to leak details like a sieve You are not alone! I can keep things in my brain for a day or two, but after that - o, there are just too many other things and it all gets mixed up ;)
