Mr. Alexander and I were marathoning "Pride and Prejudice" (BBC, 1995) yesterday. It never fails to be so great! And Mr. Alexander loves it which never fails to amuse me!
Mr Darcy is deeply troubled
His tea tastes foul.
His billiard game doesn't amuse him anymore.
So he takes a bath.
and broods.
After that he stares severely at his dancing partners
and broods some more.
His sleep avoids him.
"I shall conquer this", he says.
"I shall ride
in very hot weather.
I shall ponder...
And I shall jump into the lake...
And then I will say "Happy birthday dear Sylia!! Have a splendid day!"
