I have watched properly
"Rome" "Triumph" yesterday which left me very perturbed. I crave for another post from
queenofthorns about it and reassurance that everything will be fine with the boys. Please, somebody, tell me that it isn’t in the nature of American TV to do anything really drastic with the main characters…PLEASE!!
( It was very heart-breaking: )I was so crazy that i went and read some spoilers on TWOP, and - i wish i didn't!!!!!!!
Later on I watched
"Happy together", and if there is anything in the planet distressing, that was it.
ginger001 warned me, and she was right as always . There are very few films which left me feel disgusted while at the same time thinking that the film was worthy:
"Cries and whispers": This film is about selfishness and cold hearts and pain and dying. I personally believe Ingmar Bergman to be THE greatest director of all times and "Cries and whispers" profoundly touched me, but – here is THE most disgusting scene of all times – a lady cutting her vagina in order to avoid sex with her husband.
"Monster" : It made me feel very responsible for the state our world is in, because even in the richest of the countries there are conditions in life which produce demons. I found Aileen and her girlfriend to be extremely revolting while simultaneously I felt the great pity for them
"Chopper" Huh, it has dark humour which I am very partial to, it has Eric Bana too. Loathsome – it has plenty of loathsome, buckets of it!!!!!!!
"Happy together" A story about alienation penetrating everything, even love; a story about a loss of love between two homosexual men. Film started with explicit sex scene which is stuck in my eye now and which I could really do without seeing ever and which was very disgusting for me. And it gone on pretty the same way..Though Tony Leung was awesome.
Now I am distressed as I easily get distressed from fictional things ;(
