It was lovely! I am really glad I got to watch it and probably I'll end up getting a DVD as it is such a good pick-up movie. (And here it differs from the book which is the saddest thing ever).
I can't stand the book!
I am not a fan of Cooper's writing but I have a little niggle - I would rather prefer if it DDL played Uncas (who was Cora's love interest in the book as dangermousie reminded) . I can't stop myself from thinking that it could have been better if the Native American guy was that hunky and NOT British guy. :D
Since I'm assuming you're watching the UK DVD, which was never butchered the way the North American version was, I can rest easy that you're actually watching the original theatrical film. :)
I think I did – it had that beautiful scene where Chingachgook and Hawkeye are following Magua, Alice, Cora and Duncan and "Clannad’s I Will Find You" is playing. Beautiful!!!!!
