I didn't like season 4 very much, mainly because Buffy was a bit weird, like she paid more attention to Riley (who is such a useless character)
Oh, I quite like Riley - he is so cute and direct-speaking! And TALL! :D About Buffy - I was a bit sorry to see her unhappy again at the start of the season. But at the same time - the love of her life just left her so I guess this was expected. But the story with her room-mate was HILARIOUS!
especially Willow, who really needed her being by her side
I think sometimes we fall into a pattern with friends from which it is hard to get out. I think between WIllow and Buffy the pattern is that Buffy always had these big dramas and WIllow was a listener.
