I thought some of the acting in "Children of Dune" left some space to be improved too. But at the same time - I am not quite sure how one can utter some of the dune-ish dialogues with a serious face, it is quite flowery (but I love it!)..
But as far as it goes, I also thought "Children of Dune" was one of the best adaptations..
