+ I am sick as a dog – last week's headache was a start of cold.
BUT:
+ It is Sasha’s birthday today. She invited her friends to the birthday treat on Saturday – trip to the movies!!!!!!
+ Bart-the-cat has an unexplained love for Sky-the-dog. He plays with her and curls to sleep with her. And she is very motherly with him, licking and protecting. It is really cute to watch, but on the back of my mind I have a warning from one of Mr. Alexander dog’s books – “Never leave your terrier and your cat alone together because terriers have an instinct to hunt small animals”. I don’t know what to think. Cat is growing like crazy; I think he is going to be HUGE. And he demands food.
+I am really in VM love – I spend Monday moping over my cold/watching VM. Season 1 up to now is amazing!! Inexplicable (because he is such a bad boy in season 1) but I adore Logan now. It was truly heartbreaking to see that Logan’s father is such a MONSTER! His collection of belts!! Beating his child!!!!!! And Logan’s mother is just sitting about sipping her drink!! I forgave everything instantly to Logan. Because- man, who would not be damaged even a little with the parents like this? And I loved Logan for getting Weevil out of trouble.
Duncan has a crazy family too, and is he Veronica’s secret brother ??
VM reminds me “Twin Peaks” a little, much less of David Lynch, but still – the girls’ murder, strange things going behind close doors..
+ I liked “The age of steel” very much, but now I must confess – I do miss Nine. Ten is good, but I could do with less of the crazy faces. Sorry, everybody! I like Ten very much when he is in the serious mode, but he is overdoing it for me with the facial expressions.

Date: 2006-05-24 02:42 pm (UTC)Happy birthday to Sasha! (What movie will they be seeing?)
Ah, Bart. Perhaps he thinks that he's a dog as well?
I like Ten very much when he is in the serious mode, but he is overdoing it for me with the facial expressions.
I haven't seen the Ten episodes, but I did note with the Christmas Invasion one that
I had some worries that David Tennant would be playing him as too flippant, and that he might be too 'elastic' with his expressions. Where it was endearing with Nine, I wondered if it would seem... over-the-top. It sounds like it's a bit much sometimes!

Date: 2006-05-24 09:44 pm (UTC)Sasha is going to see "Ice age 2" - Complete meltdown. Yay to the Disney films - I secretly enjoy watching them under pretense of taking Sasha..
It sounds like it's a bit much sometimes! I like Ten very much when he is serious, but when he is manic I find it too much. Nine was so great in manic!!!!!!!!

Date: 2006-05-25 01:12 am (UTC)I bounced back really fast when Doctor Five changed into Doctor Six but when Seven appeared I don't think I ever really got over it.
As for books and films I have the same problem with viewing sequence. I must lack appropriate imagination or mental flexibility or something.
And also I hope you feel better soon.

Date: 2006-05-24 02:47 pm (UTC)I know what you mean about Ten being manic but to a certain extent, it means that his serious / sad / deep moments are even more poignant for me. I still adore nine though .... Take care of yourself. Drink more (hot) water, eat more fruit, wear more clothes ;)
