Rome in pictures: Many faces of Lucius Vorenus

My head/heart is full of "Rome"-related thoughts. When one starts thinking about future plot developments before dozing of to sleep one must admit that this is serious. And even more so, this week I re-watched my favourite scenes from season 1 and this helped to add fuel to the fire. :D

And this is where posting a collection of pictures helps, because for me life is largely about visuals. I have collected 35 (!!) screencaps involving mostly Vorenus. But of course Pullo is there too because Vorenus and Pullo are one single unit for me.

So, for your perusal: Vorenus, Pullo, sweat, blood, daggers, long pale eyelashes and blue eyes.

Also because "Rome" still occupies my thoughts, I welcome any requests for "Rome" icon making - choose your favourite screencap, let me know if you like a particular text and I will make an icon this weekend.

I keep telling myself I need to watch this series. But I haven't seen the first season and I cannot start watching in the middle of the second season. so I need to have a Season 1 "Rome" marathon.

I am so glad you enjoyed it! I hope you can find a copy quickly and I think it is one of the shows you can't skip a season without understanding the characters, for example how "Pullo and Vorenus" friendship developed. But it is absolutely worthy of a marathon watching, in a way I am jealous that you will be able just "watch it until you drop".:D

EEEEE! LUCIUS PICSPAM! OK, so, do you mind if I steal some so I can do a Titus picspam, because those two go together like Bread & Jam :P

Also, I AM ALSO WORRYING ABOUT FUTURE PLOT DEVELOPMENTS AS I SLEEP! (And I went back and read all my "Rome" entries - what can I say? I was bored! - and I actually seem to have a pretty good track record of guessing right - like, I guessed that it was going to be Servilia who leaked the thing about Niobe many episodes earlier.) SO, my guess is that a) Titus is going to be the one who finds Lucius's children - that is the point of this rift between them in the next episode, because he will be free to leave Lucius (and look for the kids); and b) they are so, so, so clearly, IMO, going to be on opposing sides at Actium, and all the Antony-Vorenus stuff from the last episode was a reminder to us of that.

EEE! I am glad you like them! Take what you like. That picture of Vorenus looking over his shoulder is my favourite among his pictures. :D

SO, my guess is that a) Titus is going to be the one who finds Lucius's children - that is the point of this rift between them in the next episode, because he will be free to leave Lucius (and look for the kids); and b) they are so, so, so clearly, IMO, going to be on opposing sides at Actium, and all the Antony-Vorenus stuff from the last episode was a reminder to us of that.

I am absolutely buying this. I was also thinking that in a way Titus was always in Vorenus' shadow and this is probably the time for him to become his own man. Shallow thoughts - and when they are in the opposite camps they can have manly angst and silently glare at each other.

And when Titus rescues the children and brings them back to Vorenus they are going to have a reunion, but then they will become friends as equal.. Because up to the episode 12 Titus calls Vorenus "sir" but I think it is a time for them to come together in friendship on equal terms.

and all the Antony-Vorenus stuff from the last episode was a reminder to us of that.

You know, I find Mark Antony really strange, one moment I think "awesome" and another moment I think "wild beast". And he seems to come too close to some men, like Brutus and Vorenus. Is he trying to dominate??

So many lovely pictures -and Niobe! I miss her. I wish I could be more coherent, but the pictures have left me speechless. Hee.
But I just love the way you have let the images tell the development of Vorenus' character.

And I cannot stop staring at the shot of Pullo looking over his shoulder. yes, this is a Vorenus post - but I keep coming back to that photo.

Lastly - I love that on the last picture from the raft you can see the hair of one of the corpses. I now feel like I have the most morbid humor, but that made me grin.

This is my favourite picture of Vorenus, from the episode in Egypt. I could not resist posting it. :D And no wonder Cleopatra could not resist too. :D

Actually, I am absolutely with you on this - the whole episode was very much about dark humour for me. Vorenus was so matter-of-factly when he came up with the raft idea. And the way they were talking about dying was so matter-of-factly too.

Eee!! And this is why I should start watching season two NOW!!!! Titus and Vorenus are my favorite part of Rome!!! I wanted to rewatch season one first before watching season two, but unfortunately I haven't gotten around to do it yet :(, blame it on my current kdrama and jdrama obsession!!! :D

Hi. I just recently found this community and I love these pics. Pullo and Vorenus are both delicious--but I have extra Squee-ly! feelings of delight for Lucius. These pics are fantastic and I'm probably going to take 'em all. I'm especially happy to see some nice pics of Lucius and Niobe. Miss her big time.
