Oh my! Such stunning icons! I'm taking some of the Cleopatra ones, for like you I really liked her in this episode.
I cried during the scene where he shaves Vorenus's beard, so touching
Me too. I actually had to pause the recording a little. And isit just me or is Rome twice as intense in this season? I feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster ride each time!
I agree that the scene with Vorenus smashing the statue was amazing, and in retrospect it has made me think of a scene from season one where he throws a party and the statue of a deity they have displayed gets smashed. Then he is very concerned and nervous. What a difference from "Son of hades"! But the scene depicted in icon #10 makes me think that Vorenus is also a little worried about the path he is treading.
I also adored the little scene between Pullo and Eirene. She is starting to talk back! "Shave or no kiss". Hee! Its good to see her acting more like a wife and less as a slave.
And..oh there were so many things I loved about this episode. I tried collecting some thoughts in my LJ, but it was such a wonderful episode that I feel like I haven't covered half!
