Eee! Thank you! I am totally fighting my way through the Project report and it makes me wanting to do everything in the world (especially icons), but writing. Hence the digressions.

I adore Doctor, Rose and Doctor/Rose and my Kara/Lee frustration is fading under the strength of new LOVE!!! But - THE NEW doctor (David Tenant) I am not sure about..

CE was so fantastic as the Doctor!!! I quite liked David Tenant in the Christmas Special but I suppose I'll have to wait for the second season to see if he is up to filling CE's shoes or not... I quite optimistic anyway :)

Well, I'm also hopelessly optimistic regarding Kara/Lee LOL... In my delusional dreamworld they are already friends again by the middle of season three *hee

I heed to find "Christmas Special" episode. I have season 1 as a Christmas present from my friend at work, but I am quickly moving through it. (when my brain gets so tired that I can't do anything but watch TV)

Thank you :) I have a philosophy of RL&TV, real life is often frustrating enough and full of ups and downs so I think it's pointless feeling frustrated and mad about a tv series :) I mean, if the wrting becomes terrible or if the quality lowers ... well you can alwasy go back and watch the episodes you really loved and made you fall in love with the show and ignore the lousy ones *hee*. And I must be hopeless... but even when there's a decrease of quality I still expect a good episode to come up :)
For instance, the last season of Buffy wasn't my favorite and had lots of non-great episodes, yet there were some great ones.

I know that I might be in a minority here, but I felt that BSG season two finale opened a lot of possibilities for future stories and developments. Maybe I'm wrong and the writers will go crazy and season three will suck, but I really believe that won't be the case *fingerscrossed* because ... well, I really want to believe season three is going to rock :) When I'm fan of a show I watch it all the way until it ends!! Maybe my happy tv experiece is so happy because I'm not as invested in fictional characters as other people, and if a romance between two characters does not get a happy ending I don't feel like the world is ending, unless it's poorly executed due to a shoddy screenplay or something like that :D

Anyway, apart from that I'm still loving the Lee/Kara interactions and this rift between them MUST be dealt with in season threeeeee.... with lots of angst, meaningful looks, hot!pilots scenes etc. *hee* Wishful thinking, yay!

I found the DW christmas special online (a torrent download), I guess it must be around someplace. I saw the full first season in three evenights after I borrowed my BF's dvds and I loved the new Doctor Who. I'm looking forward to the new season, but I don't know when it starts. The bbc site says that the second season it's coming on Spring 2006 but it doesn't give a concrete date yet.

You see, I am generally quite optimistic in RL and get quickly up after downs, but I think I tend to take everything personally. Because of it I tend to get ups and downs and tos and fros. Kara/Lee was really my “thing” and I thought that wherever happens they will be best friends. I think this is a relationship I like the best in fiction – when two people have that friendship which is bigger then anything.

This what I like so much in Dr. Who – Rose and Doctor have some great chemistry together, but more then that they have this KINDRED SPIRITS thing and I just adore it. (Plus Doctor is so much off-the-wall and different that I am in love)

For instance, the last season of Buffy wasn't my favorite and had lots of non-great episodes, yet there were some great ones.

I haven’t seen much of Buffy, but I want to watch it properly. I like Spike. ;)

I totally agree with you, I love when friendship is well developed in a show or film :) I don't mind Lee and Kara not being romantically involved (although if they do I'd loved that like A LOT *lol*)but they being friends and being there for each other is FANTASTIC! And I can't wait to see those two making amends (though I'm afraid they have a long and most likely painful road aheas)... did I tell you how intrigued I am about the fallout between those two? I wonder what happened!!

Definitely! I love all the interactions between Rose and the Doctor and how much they care for each other. I love the Doctor's personality, at times he is totally eccentric and funny and sometimes you can see he is all angsty inside thinking how to solve a situation. He's a fascinating character!
