LJ: I am really pleased with the speed LJ is working. EVERYTHING IS FLYING. I can't stop commenting and writing because finally LJ IS WORKING FAST FOR ME. I might take all my annoyed ranting back and wait for LJ to fix the issues with default comment title and other things because my main problem with it (speed and reliability) is fixed. EEEEEEEEEEEEEE! I still can't believe it and almost want to pinch myself: "Is this real? LJ is working so fast! And I haven't had an error in the last 48 hours, not even one!"

I did log a support request re: default comment title and spellchecker, though. I saw a LJ news post saying these things will be fixed. We will see.

Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia: I loved the episode until the ending happened. Irene was supposed to outsmart Holmes (in the original book series this is what happens) and I was not pleased that she did not. I am still not pleased.

Walking Dead: I have finished all available episodes of the season 2 and I am having a terrible imaginary crush on Daryl. He is like a version of Sandor Clegane with a crossbow. My open plea to the creators of the show: "Dear creators of Walking Dead! Please do not kill off Daryl anytime soon".

Anime: I am watching tons of anime at the moment. I would appreciate any recommendations!
My anime favourites, just few of them:

Monster (I haven't expected so much depth in anime)
Shiki (so scary it is good)
Ergo proxy (mind-bending and gorgeous)
Hellsing (really REALLY loved it)
Blood+
Trinity Blood (my favourite anime song)
Trigun and Cowboy beebob - great old-school anime.

Suits: I have finished 12 episodes of "Suits" in one day. I am still off on holidays. I enjoyed watching, but I didn't feel any depth to be honest and the love triangle part (and the way the character of Rachel was developed in the show) didn't feel right for me at all ..

Warehouse 13 is still lovely. Now they even have a DOG (I love dogs).

Ojakgyo Brothers: I have also watched 38 episodes of "Ojakgyo Brothers" in two days and I am crushing so much on Joo Won it hurts. Also - Uee is such a surprise, I really like her character.

I should stop commenting and posting excessively and do something else. :D

I am loving you post!

I used to find it pretty annoying to comment in November/December: it used to be soooooo slow and break half of the time. Now everything is fast I am all: oh, I just talk a bit more.. and a bit more..

I loved the ep! I liked to see Sherlock shaken to the core by Irene who was aaaaamazing! I'm glad she's not out of the picture and I'm looking forward to seeing her again. We will see her again, I'm fairly sure of that. *crosses fingers*

Re: Suits. What triangle you're talking about? Man, between canon and fanon I'm starting to get confused. Suits was all about Harvey and Mike imho.

Heeeeeeeeeeee WH 13 heeeeeeeeeee! Where are you guys at?

Sherlock: I loved the episode too, for the same reason.. until the mast moments when Irene was "rescued" by Sherlock. My feminist side did not like it. :D

Suits: I mean Mikey and the girls! I love Mikey and Harvey interaction, and I like the Boss Lady and the Evil Lawyer.

We just finished the episode 8 of season 3 in WH13.

fuuu, i don't have a Suit icon anymoooore!

Re: Sherlock. True, that. But...for some reason it didn't irk me much. Irene and Sherlock are wayyyyy out of anybody else's league. I mean, not even John can always keep up with Sherlock and yet Irene seemed to do so SO effortlessly and she did have the upperhand for most of the ep. IDK, it didn't feel much like a true damsel-in-distress rescue though, er, okay, that's what it looked like. But in my mind it didn't feel like one? Cos 1)Irene is not the damsel in distree type and 2)I can totally see her returning the favor as she did so already once (although, yes, yes, that was part of her masterplan, but still). Omg, why do I babble SO mcuh. /fail

Suits. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Okay. I almost forgotten THAT triangle was there cos it didn't seem...relevant? Which goes to show you that me, a hardcore shipper, ships pairings that are not canon although...hm, I'd like to beg to differ on that one. XD NGL, Rachel and Jenny were my least favorite characters which is probably why their triangle with Mike didn't register on my radar. On the other hand, DONNA AND JESSICA RUUUUUUUUULE, OMG!

WH13. Yay, you almost caught up!

I know what you saying is mostly true, but then - why wouldn't the creators make her win over Sherlock at the end? In the books, Irene was one single person who managed to do this and I always liked this. It is as if - everything was SO GREAT and then - why spoil it at the end????????

Suits: yes, Rachel and Jenny are my least favourite characters too because they just seem to be some accessories for Mike or something. I am giving the show a bit of a creadit because yes, there are also Donna and Jessica, but still.. why those two lovely girls fight over Mikey?

WH13: YAY!

Because there are never going to be shows or movies that makes us 100% satisfied? There's always some kind of fail, imho. Also? Didn't you hear what Gatiss said a while ago? That was really a stupid and dick-ish move. Whatever. *shrugs* But honestly? I didn't take the ending as Sherlock outsmarting her but more like Them oursmarting, well, everybody else. ACK, I already see them as Them. I'm not quite sure if that's a good thing. XD

Heh. I liked Rachel better in ep 1 when she told Mike off in THAT way. I wish TPTB woudln't have made her part of a (senseless imho) triangle. And have you noticed? Suits is ALL about triangles.

I know! There never will be something 100% perfect, only that particular moment (Irene vs Sherlock) was always something big for me personally. I used to be a HUGE fan of the books . My parents had a full series of everything Conan Doyle has written, so I guess I have read every single story about Sherlock Holmes that ever existed. And several times. It was always an important moment for me that Holmes was out-smarted by a woman and I was really quite largely disappointed in this case.

Oh yes, I really liked Rachel (and longer than one episode) because she at first seemed like that totally unattainable up-town girl for whom he is going to pine for till the end of series. But then - what? It all went wrong round about the time she was trying to cheat on exams.

Yeah, that's understandable. I meant to say that while Sherlock's TPTB are pretty good, they are so NOT flawless (case in point, gatiss' fail of a few days ago). Just like any other writer/producer that ever existed.

I liked her longer t han that, too. I still like her, mind, but it's not the same. I guess I don't mind so much that she likes Mike, but more because in the beginning it was more of a "ooooh, he's taken so OF COURSE I must have him now" as opposed as when he was single and pining after her and she didn't even SEE him. That ruined her character for me. I mean, she was beautiful and strong and witty and then THAT happened and she's just yet another character that'd driven by greed/envy. BOO! NGL, THIS irked me more than, say, the Irene debacle we mentioned above.

Oh yes, it is still an awesome show. And I am far from being one of "Moffat haters" , in fact I think "Moffat hate" came into being because he replaced the other guy as "Doctor Who" writer.

Oh yes, and this what I meant when I said that the love triangle bothered me - you just expressed it much better! I absolutely didn't see a need to turn Rachel into this weak person. And there was no need. they could have continued with UST and her being aloof. At that very point when she realised Mikey did exams for other people - the show could have gone a totally different way, with Rachel playing with Mike and being cool.

er, I was talking about the interview Gatiss released a while back that was somewhat disappointing. As for Moffat, yes, I read the usual things on him when he started having a more active role on Doctor Who, which, incidentally, I find lovely these days, but never in regard of Sherlock. As for RTD, oh man, the bitterness comes from the way he handled CoE and the wreck that was Miracle Day (and imho he did CoE the way he did cos he was already planning to go to the US and do MD). Also? Some of his comments were...how shall I put this without sounding an ass myself? Oh wait.

I wish we had seen that storyline. It's the one I was secretly hoping it'd happen.

Oh, what gig Gatiss say? Sorry, I forgotten to ask.

Doctor Who is never going to become a show I am going to take seriously (but I quite enjoy it at the moment), and when I see big write-ups about "role of females in doctor Who" I usually feel as if I am missing something.. And I am totally not equipped to compare because I mostly really REALLY disliked the Doctor number Ten, so everything else was lost on me..

Thank you so much for the link you sent me! All I can do is laugh: girls of certain age. hahahahahahahaha! I am particular surprised because this particular BBC version of Sherlock is probably the one that implies that Holmes and Watson "are gay for each other" more than any other version , more than Guy Ritchie's version for sure. Guy Ritchie's Holmes and Sherlock are a classical example of "bromance" IMHO where BBC's Sherlock? So "gay for" Watson. Hahahaha! I am a "girl of certain age"!

Yes, the girls of certain age was the worst part. And the whole generalizing as to why a female might like a m/m paring always feels so .. wrong for me (I mean the whole "girls just like to see to boys together because they are jealous of other girls")

Ha! Just when I thought maybe we were not the meeting of true minds after all ... I have finished all available episodes of the season 2 and I am having a terrible imaginary crush on Daryl. He is like a version of Sandor Clegane with a crossbow. My open plea to the creators of the show: "Dear creators of Walking Dead! Please do not kill off Daryl anytime soon".

YES, Daryl is far and away my absolutely favorite character on the show, first of all because he is the only person who seems to act with both brain and conscience and secondly because he has that thing going with the snapping at anyone who think she might have a kind heart :P (Like Sandor, as you say, but thankfully I don't think Daryl has ever killed a small child and his horrible brother seems to have left his handsome face unburned :P) The actor said he was playing Daryl like an alleycat that simultaneously wants to be accepted and treated kindly and will also bite and hiss when people come to close. I love that description.

Hmmm, maybe since LJ is so blazing fast for you, you may make some icons :P

Lol, I promise not to rant about Mockingjay anymore. I am listening to "Vorkorsigan Saga" at the moment, and I am LOVING IT.

I love your description of Daryl and : yes, totally yes to everything.

I am very tempted to make some icons. Very tempted. I am not sure if I will, though, because I am back to work next week!

Also - did you say Breaking Bad is really good? I am really in a mood for a good Western show at the moment!

"Breaking Bad" is amazing - I would rank it up there with the top shows I've ever seen, and you know I wouldn't say that lightly. (It is somewhat gory and violent and has some very macabre scenes, so I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but I don't think that this will bother you - it doesn't bother me.) The writing is exceptionally clever and the acting is fantastic. The lead, Bryan Cranston, is just perfect, and many of the other characters are like this too and there are some very, very funny parts (although the main story, that of a chemist who becomes a producer of methamphetamines because he was diagnosed with incurable cancer and doesn't want to leave his family destitue, is quite grim and sad.)

I forgot to add that there is one more thing in that the plotting is so clever and complex that, like "The Wire", you have to pay attention even to details that don't necessarily seem significant at the time. I think you will like it. (It doesn't get a lot of fannish attention on LJ because of the lack of romance and romantic couples on the show, and at first it does seem like it's very male-focused, but the women are important and fascinating too. BTW, Sheriff Bullock's wife from "Deadwood" (Anna Gunn) plays the wife of Walter White, the main character. It took me a bit to get used to her not wearing long skirts!)

I was just yelping in another friend's lj on Sherlock for last few days. Scandal of Bohemia is also very dear to me, BUT I think the new revamp works, may it be only my read and in my head instead of Moffat's design.

It's a scandal in 19C for a lady to outwit a brilliant detective, but we r past that age and the need to prove we r equals, have the brains and can freely use them. At the very end, I don't see her inferior to him in wits, we win some, we lose some, but she is more in touch in being human, and that carries some weight in our day and age on top of mere brain power. I love how to Adler's advantage of being 'vulnerable' she's conveniently wrapped Sherlock's heart in tighter reigns, trading that phone+contents for his alliance (by stroking his ego in essence) as her lifesaver and I don't know what incredible stops he has to pull to get himself physically there at the heavy-handed ending arc.

Oh, Breaking Bad is so deliciously fluff-less good. There may be a season+ in the middle it's not as tight but the first and the most recent seasons are glorious!
