I have caught up on "Jejoonwon", which continues to be adorably naive, plotty and pretty. The best thing about the latest episodes is that after being made a free person by the King, Mr.Hwan underwent a make-over and he is suddenly looking very hot. Take me right, Mr.Hwan have always being a lovely guy, but before the makeover I haven't felt any real attraction. But now, Western haircut and Western clothes seem to suit him so well:

There were some absolutely wonderful OTP developments, as well:

Still, Jejoongwon continues to amuse me:
USA = good
Russia = good
Japan = evil reincarnate, set out to consume poor Korea.

aww Park Yong-woo! I think he's very sweet looking. (:
I actually wanted to start watching Jejoongwon because of him (I've only seen him in movie roles previously) but haven't started just yet ^^;

He is very good actor, and so sweet as well. I would definitely rec "Jejoongwon" if you like him , it is a very well done drama which also has a lovely feel-good vibe.

Isn't this drama lovely? I mean, it's totally naive and I love it for that!

Mr Hwan is hot as a free man (though Mr Beak is equally hot. I blame the stylist cos he/she chooses horrible suits for Mr Beak), but I still prefer his innocent/ almost-childlike-when-it-comes-to-love version. He was so endearing when he turned into a blushing stuttering mess whenever Seok Ran looked or smiled at him. And I loved his first proposal: clichéd, but so very Hwan in that it was so honest and heartfelt and alsdkjlasdjsd I love student!Hwan. Hee. I had to GIGGLE when in ep 29 he got all jealous and when SR realized that, she pinched him. HAHAHA. SO.Cute!

Oh and what do you think of Mr Beak? I'm so fond of him now.

6 eps to go and I have no idea what will happen. I swear if they break my otp I might cry although lately I've been thinking the 3 of them should live together as a happy family XD

Japan = evil reincarnate, set out to consume poor Korea.

LOL True, true. Watanabe cracks me up, though. I mean, he's the least convincing Japanese in the history of ever! LOL

yes, poor Mr.baek had to have an ugly ala-Hitler fringe. :P The actor playing him is very attractive, I loved him in "East of Eden".

The jealousy scene: so adorable. I love their relationship and I love that "Jejoongwon", in it's own way, also didn't go the usual "love triangle" route. There was never a tiny little bit of question whom Seok Ran prefers.

If this drama ends badly - I will be really surprised. AND REALLY ANGRY. I expect puppies and pink ribbons and weddings.

I like the actor who plays Watanabe.

I liked Mr Baek's hairstyle, but now I can't UNSEE the Hitler fringe XD I skipped East of Eden evne though I wanted to watch it cos I only heard bad reviews about it...like it was a mess? I did want to see it, though.

Yeah, I liked that too. :)

Yes, me too. I expect puppies, unicorns and rainbows *g*

I like the actor, it's his awkward/weird Japanese that make me cringe. LOL

Pssst subs for ep 30 of Jejoongwon are out. And so are those for Dong yi 9

I only watched the first few eps. of "East of Eden", it wasn't my thing at all - too OTT.

The way he looks at her with tears in his eyes!

I might actually start watching this show because of this.

He looks at her like this A LOT. He is a low-birth butcher son (apparently, the butchers are the lowest of low in the Korean class system), but through his talent he rises up to the top. But , of course, she is a nobleman's daughter, and thus their love is absolutely forbidden for a long time.

I am surprised you are surprised at their anti-Japanese vibe -- it's there pretty much all the time. I keep coming across it in various genres.

I am not as much surprised by the feelings themselves, but mostly surprised by the fact that they are not at all reserved in displaying it in a drama. For all they know, this could be bought to be shown in Japan!
