The father is a vile tyrant, and I hate his guts. The way he smacked Eun Joo really hard and Hyo Sun really gently - I hate you, evil person. You have never liked Eun Joo, just pretended to like her because you thought it would be good for your daughter.

But who I do dislike in a serious way, it is Hyo Sun. Eun Joo is like a catalyst to her change - for the first time in her life Hyo Sun encountered someone who hasn't jumped to her immediate service, and what? I suppose this is the moment when person's real goodness is tested. Are you really kind or are you just pretending because this is the image you have of yourself (a nice bubbly kind girl?). The actress really does a very good job to convey the change, the growing-up moment, I suppose. But gosh, i am going to love to hate Hyo Sun character!!!

Ki Hoon and Eun Joo - can I love you more together , dears? But at the same time - noooooooooes!! A bubble! And the Moon! And a bubble on the Moon???? Please take this away ASAP.NO FACES ON THE MOON

Grown-up Eun Ju is absolutely awesome. Now she needs to meet new cool, grown-up but sad Ki Hoon and they should start tearing each other's hearts to little pieces.






































































































































On the whole: I love this drama to bits. Such a welcome change after "Chuno" (that just about has ripped my heart out of my chest). Also : I predict a totally happy ending, fairy-tale like.

Oh god, EJ's breakdown scene. I totally want a happy ending for EJ/KH. She deserves that.

YESSS! I have seen the translation. It was such an important letter. I suspect it also said "my love" in Spanish.

It did. My four years of high school Spanish (:P) were sufficient to notice that he started his letter as "Querida Eun Jo" which translated literally means "Beloved Eun Jo".

OMPH! OPMH! I was just guessing (I think some of Spanish songs etched on my brain or something), but - HOW COULD HS not give a letter like this to EJ for 8 years? I bet it has been eating her too, all these years? I think also it was circumstantial - may be f HS won that dancing contest she would have given the letter to EJ? Sometimes very important decisions depend on silly things like this.

I really think it was an impulse on her part. But I don't know - it's a drama so people do all sorts of weird things so who knows, but I bet she's sort of forgotten about that letter by now. She couldn't have read it anyway as she doesn't know Spanish.

I also like that she's made something of herself and is working at the stepdad's business or whatever. But, I agree - the promos were very misleading - with all the scenes that never happened. I thought EJ would have run away and be living on the streets or maybe in a tiny house with the little boy, who grew up. Unless, she did leave at some point and we'll get some flashbacks of what happened during those eight years? That would be interesting.

Oh, that would be interesting! Or this still might happen later, methinks. There were some spoilers on soompi about the future Ki Hoon (although after Chuno I decided not to trust soompi spoilers) and it sounded as if he comes to take over the Father's business. MAy be he will succeed and she will have to hide from debtors or something?? But yep, confusing.

I actually kind of want some flashbacks to those eight years, but I'm unsure if we'll get any. Folks at soompi are saying that the Korean site has this for episode 5: "KH returns from his army service as a new employee. An all grown up (and good looking)JW finds EJ around the same time. Jealous of the fact that EJ has become successful, HS tells EJ she and KH are in a romantic relationship." (I'm paraphrasing here)

The army thing is confusing. What - 8 years in the army? Or did he just go away at first because he was afraid that his vile step-mother is going to do something to everyone around him?

I wish for JW/EJ romance and KH to be broken-hearted, but at the same time - this will all end with JW being broken-hearted?

You know what I want more than anything? EJ to call Ki Hoon by his name. She is always "he", or "that person", I think when she calls him by his name - this is going to be lovely.

I watched this with subs on Wiki (but the subs are not full) - it seems that Ki Hoon finally flatly refused to sign the papers on giving up his inheritance (I bet EJ's character made him change his mind). There were lots of threats and such. I think he went away because he was afraid that he will cause problems for others. he went under pretense of going to the military service. And this is where EJ went looking for him - at the gathering point, but he was not there.

But! Military service = better abs. :D

I;ve been resisting viikii until subs are full (though I watched raws) so thank you for the info. Yes, his going away for those reasons makes sense. I am sure at some point in those 8 years he did his military service.

I am waiting for "Oh my Lady" subs for the episodes 5 and 6 (constantly refreshing With S2), so I thought I need some dose of positive and watched CU on viikii.

I know! I watched the end of the episode 6 yesterday (so much love). You know, I love age difference dramas. LOVE THEM. The only problem is that usually they come with "women over 30 waaaaaaaaant a man" (and I don't like this). OML is so good because it is completely different - I loved how Gae Hwa was totally NOT INTERESTED.

Well, I read on soompi that JW and HS get close - or rather HS tries to get JW, because he loves EJ. So, EJ and KH get drunk, leading to a kiss - that EJ doesn't remember. And, EJ thought KH was JW at the time - she wanted to get him back. :/ Confusing. But, maybe during the eight years JW and EJ gre close? Or since JW's around and EJ is mad at KH for abandoning her (so she thinks) she decides JW is good? I don't know! The spoilers at soompi confuse me.

But - I do know there is a drunken kiss, as the cast confirmed it at a press confidence.

That would be lovely. But, since he is older than her, she should call him "Oppa". Could you image the look on his face if EJ would call him that? I think KH would dork out.

I think this scene is a good set-up for future angst too. As you said, he's imprinting this image of EJ in his brain, and when they meet again, he'll really be surprised by the change.

SHe is totally happy in that picture, and in the one when she tried the pen. I bet she still keeps the pen and she will be totally indifferent to Ki Hoon for a while and then he will find the pen. OH ANGST.

Re: the beat down. I haven't seen the episode yet but the way some comments had described it was that the father didn't seem to want to beat her and that he had beat Hyo Sun too. Obviously, I'm not condoning it, but I had thought it was just a Eun Joo beating, I didn't realize Hyo Sun was involved also.

I can't wait to watch episode 4. It seems chock full of OTP interactions and sister interactions. All these caps I'm seeing are making me really really curious. Like the one of CM smiling and sticking his hand in his face. I WANNA KNOW! I hope viikii will have them at 100% subbed by the time I get home.

ETA: OMG those last caps of Moon Geun Young look heartbreaking. Poor Eun Joo.

Very cheesy. I think it was meant to say that she is still a little girl, but - WHAT is with Korea and faces on the moon?
(on the other hand, there is no way a drama with faces on the moon can end badly. no way).

It was more of a proforma to him - he hit HS really REALLY gently once , she started weeping and saying sorry and that was the end of it. EJ - he hist really hard the first time, really, really hard, and there were no stopping after this.

Oh, that was when EJ questioned him about that lady who gave him the orange bad (looked like classified ads to me) . He couldn't believe what he heard at first, but then became really happy and did that "I am sowing up my own mouth" gesture.
