alexandralChuno episode 23: soon it is all going to end and I am still not getting the vibe of doom. Am I in the total minority and will my optimism be crushed soon? I don't know – but I guess I am an eternal optimist so I can't do anything about this.
This episode was a bit about slaves and it was revealed that Legolas is, in fact, working for the Evil Minister. Although the slave rebellion was never one of my favourite storylines, at least now everything is tied back to the main story, Eop Bok and Cho Bok had their kiss, etc. etc. I think the final episode will have less to do with the slaves (I hope) and more to do with Dae Gil and Tae Ha's last battle with Chul Woong and a whole army of his minimes.
But the slaves weren't the one and only thing, we had another episode of Tae Ha and Dae Gil fighting together, talking to each other and being generally awesome. There was also quite a long time devoted to Chul Woong's soul spiraling faster and faster into complete disintegration, with some moments incredibly hard to watch.
But! Let's forget that this is a Korean period drama and everyone might die tomorrow, forget the laws of fateful loves, noble deaths, reunions in heaven and all the other things that personally make little or no sense to me. There was so much awesomeness in this episode! Tae Ha's badassery reached a completely new level – not only is he very swift with his sword, it was also revealed that he is second to no-one with bow and arrow. The story goes like this: Dae Gil is accosted by numerous amounts of soldiers, fighting with them successfully. Tae Ha is standing on a roof, shooting arrows, and with every single arrow he hits his target (like Robin Hood, only better because Tae Ha is still purposefully not killing anyone) . Finally Dae Gil notices that he has no guys to fight anymore and gives Ta Ha that fabulous gesture that I can only translate "Awesome, dude!" (it is like a quick bow, I wasn't able to screencap it).
And there also was a bit about Un Nyun being fantastic with Qing guys and teaching Sul Hwa to read
