Football and other happy things

England/Sweden
Good:
1. England has some great midfielders as Gerrard and Joe Cole who can score beautiful goals. Joe Cole’s goal was fantastic!!!
2. Our football fans are behaving themselves well this year. Fingers crossed. I am so glad that recent sporting events including World Cup 2002, European Championship 2004 seem to be showing good behaviour from England fans. It is great to see that government and clubs are making an effort about this!!!!!!
3. I loved that in this tournament when rare match goes by without a red card and penalties England and Sweden had a very intense match with sparse yellow cards and no red ones at all. Way to go, boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. England is in a good spot now avoiding Germany and Argentina in the next two rounds.
5. Sweden got through
Bad:
1. Michael Owen hurt himself and now England doesn’t have many strikers. The scene of him twisting his knee is painful to watch.
2. England was very bad defending set pieces.
3. Rooney had a tantrum. Tantrums never help anybody to win.
Netherlands/Argentina It was nothing to write home about for me apart from that Argentina does have bad days too and they are not unbeatable. I still can’t warm up to Argentinean team -constant presence of Maradona on all their matches keeps reminding me of everything connected with him.

+ Farscape I have started watching Farscape!!!!!!! It is great great great! I am full of squee about Crichton and I have already developed a crush on him. Yes to long and happy Farscape fangilishness!
+ His girl Friday It is such a brilliant film!! UST seems to be invented, defined and polished in this film!! Gary Grant has fantastic set of shoulders!! They don’t make shoulders like this anymore! Why????
+ I haven’t been to the gym for two weeks. My dearest threatens to cancel membership. But on a good news side I have bought lovely size 10 (6 in USA sizes, I think) jeans. I am normally not THAT slim and there definitely must be something wrong with the size, but I can ignore it and imagine that this is all true and enjoy it, right??? Also jeans usually never sit correctly on me and squeeze all the wrong places but these ones sit just nicely. I am a happy girl!!!
+Bart-the-Cat has a thing about socks. He likes to play with them.. Do they look like little kittens to him or something? My socks do have pictures of little kittens on them. Is this why??
