Fridaly pictures: Lee Min Ho!!!!!
Jan. 30th, 2009 09:23 pmLee Min Ho is the actor playing the main lead (Goo Joon Pyo) in the new Korean drama "Boys Before Flowers" . Which is kind of not so new because it is a 3rd (!!!) adaptation of the popular manga "Hana Yori Dango". There have been already 2 adaptations from Taiwan ("Meteor Garden", one of the first Asian dramas I watched. I keep strong feelings of great love for it) and Japan but it seems that the story never goes old because the new Korean version is hugely popular in Korea , among Internet-fans of Asian dramas and is actively subtitled by fans to 14 languages (including Russian). What is the key to so much success of this story? I honestly don't know! It is all about a strong poor girl taming a self-centered spoiled rich boy. Why not to love? I am afraid this manga is going to be adapted into a never-ending Western soap opera soon.
Especially when the Korean version of self-centered spoiled rich boy is played by Lee Min Ho. Korea is a country which seem to produce an exeptional amounts of good looking yong men and women. Only few and far between them are, however, good at acting. Lee Min Ho certainly is good.

With his normal hair:

With Joon Pyo's, crazy as the man himself, hair:

Date: 2009-01-30 10:40 pm (UTC)When they had the straightening of the hair moment in one of the episodes I thought "YAY! They are going to go the Jerry Yan way". But it didn't last.
The funniest about DMS's hair was that he claimed his hair were un-tamable. BUT! They were tamed - by the power of love!

There are rumors that about midway, Jun Pyo is going to get a different hairstyle. I am all for it :)

The actor is awfully pretty, though.

Date: 2009-02-18 03:35 pm (UTC)Too bad I can't say the same for poor MatsuJun (in HYD), who’s hair was extremely ridiculous. Or Jerry! I am also glad they decided to let him have his normal hair (though it was kinda baffling how they just randomly let his hair go normal without any sort of warning or explanation!)
Random, but want to be friends? I'm as intensely obsessed with dramas as you could possibly be, and love to discuss them!

That was the power of love, I think. ;D I have been obsessing over BOF for quite a while now, I think I am also ready to say that I LIKE Lee Min Hoon with the locks.

Date: 2009-02-19 12:31 am (UTC)Hehe! Surely that is a better explanation than the hair people got tired of battling his pineapple head everyday! Yes, from now on, I will believe it was the power of love! :)
