I know! It might be the neck tattoo...:D I have some issues with the storytelling in the VK manga, but the anime seems to be better, tighter pacing. Above all, however, is the fact that it's SO freaking pretty! I can't resist it.

It was a first manga I have ventured to read and I found it less than easy to follow in comparison with "normal" books. I think the artwork is prettier in the anime. In terms of the art, the eyes and hair are lovely, but I have difficulty telling some of the other vampires apart, and some of the action is hard to distinguish because the lines aren't clear. In terms of story, the pacing is all over the place! Er, that doesn't stop me from reading it, though. ;) But there is better manga out there.

I've heard "NANA" is stunningly gorgeous, and "Death Note" is supposed to be amazing too. I really like the art of "Code Geass" myself - it's not super stylized except in the faces, but it's very bright and colorful.
I'll be curious to find out what other ones you do or will like. I don't have many people on my list who watch anime or read manga (besides a couple Bleach fans), so I hope you keep at at! This is fun. :)

I agree about the actions! Also I am still confused sometimes which of the blond hair vampire guys is which, even thought they look a lot more different in the anime.

Oh, no! It isn't mine! It is a painting by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, La Pia de' Tolomei. I just adapted it slightly.
Sadly, I don't have any background in art. I am (and have always been :D) a geeky computer programmer. :D
It's much easier to tell Kain and Aidou apart in the anime! And I like them better there, too. (Kain is really pretty...I love that orangish hair/brown eyes combo! Reminds me of Ichigo from Bleach.)

If you like big stories, you should like Bleach. It's really basically one big arc! I've heard some people say it starts slow, but I honestly didn't feel like anything was lacking because it was so funny. It's true that a ton of awesome action kicks in later, though, and the story takes a lot of unexpected turns (all of which I really enjoy).
Yeah, I'm up through whatever they have at onemanga. Though to be honest, I need to go back and re-read some of it. I sort of zoomed through it and missed some things, I think!
I only read it yesterday. Oh, my dear Zero. All the fragments stuff about him and his twin is so heart-breaking.
I am quite positive now that Yuuki doesn't know that Zero is in trouble. She is kept almost imprisoned all the time and she is in a very troubled state of mind.
I know, it's so sad! He's so alone, and the guilt he must feel about his twin... *wibbles* It shed some light for me about him - why he acted like he did with Yuuki. I hope he can overcome his barriers and start accepting who he's become, so that he can help her. I think she needs him. Poor Yuuki, she must feel so lost. I wonder if Kaname will recognize that, and do something about it...?
I'm so CURIOUS about what happens next! Episode 11 of the anime is up, have you watched it? I haven't yet. Yay prettiness.
