It was a first manga I have ventured to read and I found it less than easy to follow in comparison with "normal" books. I too found the VK manga a bit hard to follow. In terms of the art, the eyes and hair are lovely, but I have difficulty telling some of the other vampires apart, and some of the action is hard to distinguish because the lines aren't clear. In terms of story, the pacing is all over the place! Er, that doesn't stop me from reading it, though. ;) But there is better manga out there.
I haven't been too long on anime love path but this is so far the prettiest anime I watched. Agreed! I haven't been on the anime love train long myself (boy is it addictive!) but out of the handful or so I've watched, VK is the prettiest. I've heard "NANA" is stunningly gorgeous, and "Death Note" is supposed to be amazing too. I really like the art of "Code Geass" myself - it's not super stylized except in the faces, but it's very bright and colorful.
I'll be curious to find out what other ones you do or will like. I don't have many people on my list who watch anime or read manga (besides a couple Bleach fans), so I hope you keep at at! This is fun. :)
May I ask if you have an art background? Your header has peaked my interest. I don't need specifics or anything, I'm just curious.
