I say age ain't nothin' but a number, LOL. Perhaps because in Asia most of the big stars, or the A-list ones anyway, are still relatively young compared to Hollywood/western actors.

Hee! Mee to! Especially considering the "virtual" character of the modern-day media.

As to actors' age - this really makes me think. Among Japanese (and particular, Korean) dramas it is a rarity to see a drama with actors around 40 in the lead roles. Japanese dramas are less like that, I think. There are more "mature" theme dramas. Take "Karei naru", "SP" just out of the top of my head. The new Takuya's drama "Change" too. In Korean dramas older actors move into supporting category. I wonder why.

As to JE boys - there is a similar thing here in the UK too. They call them "boy bands" that attract huge following of teenage girls. Judging by ratings of few JE boys dramas they are not as popular drama-wise with general population as Takuya, for example.

What's the "small face" beauty philosophy, btw? I haven't heard that before :D

I came across this in blogs, I think. It seems to be considered beautiful to have as small face as possible (for ladies) in Korea. I noticed few jokes about it in dramas too.
