Journeyman

Sore eye sitrep: I have conquered this, my eyes feel much better today! EEE! Squee! Thank you very much for all support!!!! But I am still trying to take it easy on eye strain which resulted in me mostly spending all the time of a sofa asleep and eating chocolates by kilograms. I am very much convinced that it was chocolates that healed my eyes and NOT the antibiotic eye drops prescribed by our GP. :P

Journeyman The only thing I HAD to watch was the first episode of Vorenus Kevin McKidd's new series "Journeyman". I must say that time travel never was my favourite direction of science fiction (I am more of a fantasy and space opera gal) and I am still not convinced the show's premise is strong enough to make it last . BUT! I did like the first episode of "Journeyman" quite a lot, mostly because all four of the main characters came across as interesting..

Our main hero, Dan Vasser – complex, tortured and SO BLUE EYED! He lost his first love to a plane crush.

He is a possessor of a real ROMAN profile:

But he tends to jump in time unexpectedly and finds himself in all sorts of strange places. One time he is used as a crawl-ground for snails. Eeeek! Snails and slugs creep me out in a serious way!

His all-suffering wife Katie. Why all-suffering? There are some past gambling stories and there is eternal feeling of "Am as good as the plane crush lady?"

Who was very pretty

Dan's brother Jack also has blue eyes and holds a big torch for Katie:

Dan's little san, Zach. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

When thrown into the past Dan tries to change things, not realising that some things should be left alone and never come back! Like some fashions, for example:

Because Dan is absent for long periods of time everyone around him decides that he is taking drugs. Or gambling again. Or both:

But Dan is happy as he gets to re-live some of his happy days with Livia:

And his eyes! His eyes!

Ohhhh, Kevin looks so delicious! And that picture of him with the small boy killed me; it made me think of Lucius and Lucius! *weeps*

The eyes! The eyes!

Glad you're feeling better! :D

Ouch, Sorry you've been feeling unwell. Glad you're better and big *hugs*

As for Journeyman, taped it, am watching it right now. It's hard, because my heart sees Vorenus, but I'm sure that will shift and fade as it always does with this sort of thing.

Anyway, I'm liking mildly...will give it a chance, but I'm not wild about it. At least not yet.

Ps. Your description of the show is fabulous by the way. :)

OMG! His eyes! I know. Hee. I watched it last night and I liked it. But I'm a sucker for time travel. I don't know why.

Something is going on with plane crash girl though. She time travels as well. Could be interesting. :)

Those are some great shots you got there.

I think the show is promising. I kept on waiting to see him in his Rome getup like he would go back in time to Anicent Rome hehehe.

He looked great!

Wow, great screencaps! I have to say, I got a little bored halfway through, but I'll try it again next week. Also, Dan's brother was Kellerman on Homicide, one of my other absolute favorite tv shows! (And a predecessor of The Wire).

This tv show sounds good! Why haven't I heard about it yet? I'll be looking for subtitles so I'll be able to watch it, I hope - I think it has some good elements!

it was chocolates that healed my eyes and NOT the antibiotic eye drops prescribed by our GP
of course it was chocolate! :D
