Hopefully he will get that with Eirene and the baby - but I fear that might end badly. *fears for Eirene*
Oh, I usually think of things optimistically, but I think Eirene is definitely going to die (I am even trying not to look at spoilers because I am so afraid). I think they will go for a very bad fate for her, as a parallel with Niobe so at the end there will be only Pullo and Vorenus again.
I don't think he feels comfortable being "second man" - he needs purpose and orders.
This made me a little sad too, I wish that he realizes that he can be independent from ANYONE!! (And I don't mean that Vorenua and him will not be friends, just that they will be equals). But I am all hope, I hope this is just a blip!
I have seen a spoilery (but not very understandable) preview for the next episode, though. All I can do is to think how it all will play out.
