she had a really priceless expression, like her heart was melting.
Oh I hope so!! For even if she ends up with Marc Antony (sob!)I hope she could have some happiness first. And I think she and Agrippa would get along splendidly. I'm starting to suspect the main problem is Octavia's sense of self worth (or lack thereof). Remember how she again and again says he doesn't know her? Even if this is slightly true, I get the feeling that what she is saying is really "Oh, you think I'm so fantastic now - but wait until you know me better, and then you'll see how useless and hopeless I am". This is after all the girl how sat cutting herself in the temple and who spent large amounts of S1 being depressed. This season she takes a lot of drugs and sleeps. I suspect Octavia cannot believe that anyone could love her.
So I guess it's a good thing Agrippa is so open with his emotion.
Now it could be said that Agrippa is perhaps a little bit dramatic in declaring his love (tear down the sky? Hee), but I just love that he is so certain of his feelings. And I don't think it is a crush either - I think he really feels that deeply and passionately. In the same vein I liked that he doesn't hesitate before carrying her of. He sees her, lifts her up and goes. *g*
The odd thing is that I wasn't expecting the Agrippa/Octavia storyline at all - so it came as a huge surprise and because of that I might be loving it even more.
The trio of friends – they almost as dear to me as Pullo and Vorenus.
Hee! Pullo and Vorenus will always come first - but I love the trio! More trio business! And I adored Maecenas and Agrippa at the party. Such a great scene.
