Rome, Testudo et Lepus, and icons .

I liked it very much!! "Rome" is my favourite à la Dumas story of two ancient Roman musketeers. Whatever is happening in Rome, Pullo and Vorenus are sure to be involved!!!! My head is hurting from triple-day over iconing, but I don't really care. :D
+ I like Simon Woods as the new Octavian, he seems to be so ENERGETIC, but I have to watch a little more of him to complete my mind.
+ But I think my loyalties to Pullo and Vorenus are seriously shaken because I do, do love Agrippa so!!! he is so straightforward and good and honest inside and is not so good with words ,especially where women are concerned, and this is one of the things I just adore in men (RL or fictional). And Octavia does seem to be rejecting him flat so this is going to be one-sided doomed love of which I am also a huge fan of.
Agrippa screencap of the day
Oh, boy!!! You better quit right now!!!!

I liked his squabbling with Maecenas (who is also lovely in a bohemian sort of way) :

+ And as to the rest , you know what is the best thing on earth? Pullo and Vorenus, of course! That after a short word exchange involving "I only said so because I wanted to make you angry" from Pullo (oh, Pullo, I love you for the way you said it was so gentle!!!) and reserved "I know" from Vorenus they quickly fell back into their normal, absolutely comfortable way with each other. And they were camping near the fire and Pullo was making hints about the slave camp and really he was saying that HE was in a slave camp once. And Vorenus was not asking a word, but just listening. ** sigh ** As long as these two are together I will watch Rome and watch more of it!!
+ But wasn't that keen on Servillia's storyline, it just seemed to be unnecessary somehow. They could have shown us more of Pullo and Vorenus, or Agrippa, Octavian and Maecenas.
Pullo and Vorenus shot of the day: Camping again!!

And EEEE! Icons!!! (I am so sorry, I can't stop just yet). Icons are free to share ,if you like I will make customizations, like text and etc., for you.
Spoilers, big spoilers.

Date: 2007-02-05 07:54 pm (UTC)And oh, thank you for the screencap of Pullo by the fire – yes, I agree. He was once a little boy in a slave-camp and I think he knows how much it scars you – and this is why he will not condone Lucius leaving behind the little boy, although he knows absolutely the best way to tell him this and it’s so lovely. (I cried when Lucius hugged the boy!) SNIFF!

Date: 2007-02-05 09:00 pm (UTC)As Cicero said about his vanity, i'm agree with him. :)
The thing i loved most about the character is when Agrippa talked about Octavia, and he almost smiled thinking about her. Hope that their relationship will not change very much this season. Just one word: it's better Max Pirkis's Octavian! Anyway, i loved Azia's line about Jocasta (when she said "do you tell me your name, again? It's silly but funny!). Brutus is looking much better, while Octavia and Marc Antony are always my favourite, that's why i have always positive things to say. Ok, this is my little review (sorry for my english, but i'm still learning). Your icons are lovely. :)

Date: 2007-02-05 09:07 pm (UTC)I also liked the friendship between Agrippa and Octavian.
As for the Pullo and Vorenus part I need to digest it a little bit first. It was great, but the slave-camp was heart wrenching.
And when Vorenus hugged little Lucius? *sob!*
(and this is how I order my day - first thing I did when I got back home was to get the next episode, watch it - and then unpack. Perhaps I have a strange way of prioritising? Hee.)

Date: 2007-02-06 05:16 pm (UTC)Oh and Agrippa was so adorable ^^. Love your icons with him.
I really had a good first impression of Bingley's Octavian ^^. I loved Max Pirkis take on the role so it wasn't an easy transition in though but actually it works just fine.
Someone does know the name of the other friend of Octavian? I couldn't catch it.

Date: 2007-02-07 11:22 pm (UTC)I'm sorry, I'm just so thrilled I'm not the only person (besides my mom) who loves this show!! It is so unbelievably brilliant. I still can't believe how I never would have been turned on to it if I hadn't taken a Women in Ancient Rome course last year (and my prof praised it).
Sorry...just I'm into a lot of fandoms and Rome is scarcely represented as it should be.
Snagging 1, 7 and 10...Agrippa is Adorable. I want to be the yet to be sired Julia and have his babies.

Date: 2007-02-13 10:25 pm (UTC)I just joined the Rome group and found your icons.
I am ridiculously obsessed with Agrippa (he's just so adorable); would you mind if I attempted to use one of your icons for AIM?

Date: 2007-02-15 06:26 am (UTC)Exactly! Every time I see Pullo or Vorenus, well, really Pullo and Vorenus in their oh-so-manly friendshipness together I feel all happy and giddy inside. Those two affect my system like sugar, they go in, make me all hyper and giddy, and I don't know where it all goes but I want more! It's like Batman and Robin only they have swords and are wearing fancy manly skirts.
The icons are just lovely, I snagged all the ones with Pullo and/or Vorenus in them. Will credit.
I have to say though that Agrippa is somehow winning over my heart and soul with his oh-so-endering overtures at Octavia. I am torn between motherly petting affection and snogging my senseless.
