And Everitt (maybe it's two ts, I can't remember!) used a lot of Cicero's own letters in his biography so the guy who emerges has this very engaging sense of humor. He seems like someone you'd like to chat with.
It seems like they didn't give Cicero justice in "Rome" up to now, he was emerging as somehow very coward character. But again, it could be just a mental connection in my head because the actor (David Bamber) has played Mr. Collins
