I read an interview with Chiara Mastalli on the HBO website and she was talking about how Eirene and Pullo are very straightforward people and "pure" (I think she means honest and not manipulative) and that makes it dangerous for them in the world that is so dishonest and crooked.

This feels very ominous - when creators start talking how their characters are too good to live. In the meantime, I really hope (I think I could see it in Vorenus/Eurene scenes) that she loves him back and strongly as he does.
