Yeah, I think it was when Pullo was singing to Baby Lucius that I just decided I loved him to pieces - and that made him sexier. In fact, Pullo is not at all my usual fictional "type" - I tend to prefer the leaner, finer-boned and very angsty guys (err, basically, the Lucius Vorenuses :P) On paper, I would be all over the Lucius, and much less interested in the Titus - but something about Pullo and how Ray Stevenson plays him just makes my heart go pitter-pat and I can't figure it out.
And no one ever has to justify why they find someone totally droolworthy - especially not to me, darling, because I have some VERY ODD CHOICES.
This is not to say that I don't adore Lucius, because I do - I just don't get that squirmy feeling in my tummy about him :P (That's the GOOD squirmy-tummy, not the bad one, which is caused by people like Erastes Fulmen!)
I do think that the show's heart and soul is with the Pullo/Vorenus story - if it were not for them, we would have, I think, another kind of historical "lifestyles of the rich and decadent"; with them, we have this astonishingly layered and beautiful relationship and one of the very rare depictions of a true and lasting friendship. So, I do love Lucius lots and lots because you can't have strawberries without cream :P
