It must be connected with spoilers I have read (and I am not sure how this will work out) that Toya is her ROBE. This is such an interesting concept considering they are in love with ech other.
Btw, Yu Watase (I seriously have a girl crush on her. Or at least her manga) drew the manga the anime is based on. Studio Pierrot (I think) was the one who animated it.
