One of my systems gone live yesterday. Though there were some political struggles during "putting live" stage it all seemed to be gooooood otherwise. Good reports from users.

And now about more interesting things: FOOTBALL!

Argentina/Germany

0. These words of Argentinean player Tevez I have read in the article in Guardian two days ago ruffled me a bit:

"We must show balls," Tévez said when asked how Argentina should play Germany. It's going to be a very tough match, cerebral too. The hosts are going to have to show more than they have done so far to beat us.
They know that if they let us play, we can cause them problems. I like to play with the crowd against me, we Argentinian players are used to that. The great players and the great teams show themselves in difficult matches"

It seems to me there Tevez saying that they are great which is a little too early to say. And that they are going to show some presence of mind and strenght of character, which didn't happen - not on the pitch and certainly not afterwards during the brawl

1. I admit I have not watched many of Agrentina matches because some of them were on Friday which is my working day, some on Saturday of my birthday surprise. But I have heard so much good about their play. I didn’t see it happen today at all – they seemed to be in control though not particular inspiring to start with, but after their goal something just clicked and they become erratic. Germany was obviously a difficult side for them.

2. Germany is always known to be very strong on penalties and YES they were right on spot again!!! Plus Khan was cuddling Lehmann before penalties. AWWWWWW!

3. There were attempts at diving and leg-kicking, nose-bleeding from the both sides but the referee kept it under control.

4. But at the end Argentinean players seemed to instigate a brawl.

5. EEEEEEEEE! I am so happy Germany won!!!!

6. (And I know it is silly, but this is probably a first Argentinean match I watched properly) - Few players seemed to be Maradona’s look-a-likes. Forgive me silly!

Italy/Ukraina: I don’t have many coherent things to say but – EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Early goal ([livejournal.com profile] queenofthorns) 3:0!!!!!!!! Italy in the semi-finals!!!!! EEEEEEEE! Luca Toni scored 2 beautiful goals!!!!!!!!

Ok, I am very apprehensive about England/Portugal. Good job it is a day of monthly fast in the church tomorrow and I will have to miss at least half of it. I want to fall asleep and awake tomorrow evening!

Update: In the case of England's loss I am going to be out of LJ for few days, weeping and licking my wounds!!!!!

Update 2: Ian says Engalnd is going to win and that France is going to win too. He always gives these crazy predictions
