alexandral: (GoT - Sansa beautiful)

A cap from the episode 10.

Poor Sansa! But I find it unsuitably amusing that Sansa is taller than Joffrey (you little so-and-so, I wish you terrible and painful death!). :P I can't wait for the new episode but I am going to feel the loss when it ends. But nevermind, the new book is out in July! I still can't quite believe it, though.

PS: Because I always think of these things, I think about the actor that plays Joffrey, Irish actor Jack Gleeson. Personally, I think he is doing a great, even fabulous job. He did the creepiness so well! And his moment of tendeness with Sansa was so believable too! But the actor is so young! Won't he only get bad roles of horrible people from now on? And I do hope he is not going to be bullied or have anti-fans or anything crazy like this.

Maybe when he's fully grown he'll look so different no one will ever connect him with the character.

I so hope for this. I think he is an excellent actor - hemanaged to keep the audiences in complete darkness as to what Joffrey's intentions were. Until the last minute.

I really liked this scene. I thought the girl playing Sansa did a great job... And there was a Sansa/Sandor moment as well. <3

And there was a Sansa/Sandor moment as well. <3

How do I love YOU!!!!!!!!! Thank you! I was sure there was a Sansa/Sandor moment in the books, but i wasn't sure it can make it to the show.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I'll be so sad when it's over :( I really hope we get some Sansa/Sandor ♥

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Most awesome dianora77 (who did subs for the show, so she has already seen it all) said there will be a Sansa/Sandor moment! YAY!

[identity profile] dekyria.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
That is awesome, seriously ♥

[identity profile] gingaktb.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I really can't wait until I get to this part.

As for the actor who plays Joffrey, I seriously think people will judge him how well he portrays the character rather than who his character is. He does such a good job!

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I really hope for this. I think GoT audiences are not the type to produce the anti-fan crazies.

He was said to be really good in "All Good Children" film. I am really tempted to watch it now.

[identity profile] gingaktb.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't see casting being judgmental like that. Fans? Probably more so, but if they go further in the books and see how the actors show those characters on screen, I think they'd be more impressed. At least I would hope. I mean, you can dislike a character, but love an actor.

I'm going to have to check out that film. Actually, I'm going to have to imdb most of these actors and actresses. Most of them do SO well.

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-19 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, i think the industry people should be able to notice what a good actor he is.

And the fans of GoT don't seem to be a crazy sort neither!

I'm going to have to check out that film. Actually, I'm going to have to imdb most of these actors and actresses. Most of them do SO well.

I am the same. Love them all!

IA about Joffrey. The actor is really really good. He conveys the all thing extremely well and make us hate even more (was that even possible? :o) the character, which, takes a lot.

Sophie Turner is really tall ^^. Makes us looking great in the scenes with Sandor actually. I love the girl. She plays the character with a great sensibility.

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-18 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I feel the same about Joffrey. I think seeing him "in person", played so well by Jack, made his character less of a cartoonish evil guy. Which made me hate him more, of course.

Sophie is wonderful. Although I have always been Sansa/Sandor shipper I was less interested in Sansa herself. But not now - she made Sansa into a top 5 favourites for me.

(Oh thank god, I thought I was the only Sandor/Sansa shipper on lj!)

: D

Me! me! I am a Sansa/Sandor shipper. They are one of my two favourite ships in Game of Thrones. The other one is Jaime/Brienne, and both really are a little similar: the girl makes the guy change.

great shot! btw, did you notice she has her hair like cercei wears hers.

i think the the actors that play sansa and joffrey are doing an amazing job considering the complexities of the characters. i fully believe the girl playing sansa will be able to grow with the role and upcoming scenarios.

i thought they'd forego any sansa/sandor scenes since they passed up the one that was easiest and made most sense. and yes, i so ship these two - the pairing seems so grrm.

i am full of anticipation and dread of tomorrow's episode. of course i can't wait to see it but then its all over for quite a while. i hope they'll re-run it - i'm so there if they do.

yes, Sansa started wearing her hair in "Southern fashion", starting from Ned's imprisonment.

i fully believe the girl playing sansa will be able to grow with the role and upcoming scenarios.

Absolutely! She is still young, it will be great to see her growing through the series.

There was a big outcry from Sansa/Sandor fans after the "Cripples, Bastrads and Broken things" episode . Actually some fans were quite nasty on twitter to Bryan Cogman, the writer. I DO NOT approve of nastiness, btw. But the witer replied on Twitter that Sansa's relationship with Sandor is still an important part of the story, or something like this. I hope he has got the message. :D I do not approve of nastiness, but I wish I said something on Twitter at that time too.

and yes, i so ship these two - the pairing seems so grrm.

Yes, the whole "the Beauty and the Beast" thing, he loves this. He loves disfigured (in some way of another) characters too.

I agree with you about the actor who plays Joffrey. He's doing an excellent job.

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-19 06:20 pm (UTC)(link)
And he so fits the role too - he is realy pretty (I thought he is too pretty when I saw the first stills) , but when he is in a JOFFREY mode he looks quite creepy at the same time.

Jack Gleeson has turned me into a not so secret Joffrey stan. HIS FACE WHEN HE IS FEELING LIKE KING ROCKSTAR OR A DISNEY PRINCE, SO MUCH JOY. And he gives you no warning before he flips. And he is a proud, chest pounding Baratheon! And, and, and! I always so enjoy well-written, well-played monsters, with their moments of simple happiness and their insecurities. So much more interesting than one flavor of how to be good.

Sansa/Sandor tho <333333333

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-19 06:22 pm (UTC)(link)
That was the best moment, when he did that "Look all, HOW AWESOME I AM: face when he announced Ned's fate. The actor has some serious acting chops.

And I like him much more in the show because I thought that his character was slightly cartoonish in the books.

Sansa/Sandor tho <333333333

I am beginning the re-read of Clash of Kings. Sansa/Sandor, here I come!

[identity profile] sunnytyler001.livejournal.com 2011-06-19 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
I really hoooooooppppeee we'll get our Sansan scene tonight. If someone steal again his lines, I'll be angry!

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-19 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently there will be a moment. But I am sure the writers have may be got the message already.

I didn't think it was such a popular ship and that many people complained when the "little bird" scene was given to Littlefinger.

I found out about the SAnsan LJ community only a few weeks ago. I already read ALL their fanfictions XDXD

Oh, no! I didn't know one existed!!! Do you mind directing me towards it?

Enjoy!!! I have so much fun there! And the people are very nice :D

At first I did not think about the actor that plays Joffrey at all, I only thought about how much I hate hate hate Joffrey so much. But then last episode I realised how well Jack Gleeson is portraying Joffrey, the burning rage when I see his face.. he's doing it amazingly well! Everytime Sansa said how beautiful he is I had to smirk though, because he's so.. not. I don't think he'll only get cast in these kind of roles though, I don't think this is that kind of role.

I can't believe the season is already over after only one more episode! But there's going to be Sansa/Sandor? I'm not necessarily a Sansa/Sandor shipper, but I do love the Hound. ♥

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2011-06-19 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree/ I thought the book Joffrey was much more cartoonish.

You see, when I first saw stills of Joffrey I thought "OMPH! The boy is so pretty!" but when I watch the actor on screen, in Joffrey's role, all I notice is "How creepy!". I think he is a really good casting choice, a pretty boy , but one that can act well which makes Joffrey's ugly personality shown through.

To be honest, In Sansa/Sandor equation I am more about The Hound than about Sansa. I would have shipped him with anyone he is interested in. :D In fact, I think they match each other with Brienne really well. But wholst watching the show, I have grown into a real Sansa fan. The girl that plays her just made her so believable and so personal to me. She is just SO MUCH like my daughter.

In fairness I think HBO has done quite well all round with the casting for this season and I hope it carries through to next and future seasons as well. Jack Gleeson has been brilliant in his role. He seems to have mastered 'Joffrey'. I see a lot of Cersei's influence in HBO Joffrey whereas I don't notice it as much in book Joffrey. Book Joffrey is just evil and creepy and a bratty, little boy. You really notice how much HBO Joffrey is influenced by Cersei - he is still a young boy, who is growing and learning, but definitely ambitious and willing to get his taste of power.

PS I've been waiting all week for the Sansa/Sandor 'battlements' scene. I hope HBO doesn't botch it up like the 'Littlefinger tells Sandor's story' debacle. For the most part the series has lived up to my expectations but that scene left a bad taste in my mouth. I'd like to think that after all the fan uproar, next season will be a little more Sansa/Sandor friendly.

I loved the scene in the episode 10. This really gave my sansa/sandor shipping heart some hope. I loved Rory in it as well.

I noticed this too. Some seed that were sown by cersei in the episode 1 gave fruit in the finale. I really like the show's Joffrey (like is not a right word, but ) much more that the book's Joffrey. He was too much of a cartoonish charcter in the book, I think.
