V for Vendetta

I went to see my Project supervisor today, but she was ill . As a replacement I got tempted into seeing "V for Vendetta". I am so sorry [livejournal.com profile] elspethsheir, but for me this film was good but not exceptional.

- It was a cross between 1984 (but without overwhelming sense of reality) and "The Phantom of the Opera" (but without Gearard Butler's sex appeal ;)

- It didn't hold any original ideas for me: Future Inquisition-like government was done before. And masks.

- I am not sure about this one possible spoiler )

+ I liked very very much both Stephen Fry and Stephen Rea. I must check some of the other roles of these actors..

+ I liked the way how the idea of wearing mask and what does it mean to wear a mask was developed in the film

+ It was very well-made visually film

And now I am a bad, bad student and instead of doing some more writing I have downloaded the new episode of "Prison Break". And I am going to watch it because I am dying to know what happened to Michael and Sara.

Yep, and I said to myself that I am not going to use LJ this week because I need to finish Report-writing, but - who am I kidding? But I must, must do some Report writing.. ;) So I may do some writing, and then watch some "Prison Break"
