I heard on the news last night that the Queen's household actually had to release a statement saying that there was no offense, and the gesture was mutual.
This is really great and amazing - the last time something like this happened (with Australian leader, I think) it was an international offense. It is may be slightly sad to have a protocol such like this but I guess this is something that have been in place for centuries. But I am also glad that things are changing.
Oh, the visit news are wonderful - this new USA presidency is something one still can't quite believe in, how good it is.
