Though I am personally a great fan of vampire lore, but I agree that the genre is SO overdone. But I LOVED Eric-from-the-book too, even though I thought the "Southern Vampires" series themselves are very weak. (And this has nothing to do with the fact that I ADORE Brad Colbert ;D)
