I could not get into to Six Feet Under at all. and I've tried, believe me, I've tried, I did like American Beauty which he wrote(and he went to the same university that I did so I always feel like I should try to support him for some reason)but True Blood? I just can't watch it!
I haven't seen "Six Feet Under" and I liked "American Beauty". There were definitely flashes of witty dialogue in the pilot of "True Blood" and I liked most of the characters ( I am a fan of Anne Paguin ) .
With films and books - it depends for me. Sometimes I prefer to watch the film prior to reading. I am less bothered by any changes made in this case. The pilot of "True Blood" set me on reading of "Southern Vampire" series which I would give a total miss in different circumstances.
