Park Shi Hoo in "How to meet a perfect neighbour"

I was looking for something to watch over the weekend and look!! Iljimae's Shi Hoo (Park Shi Hoo) is in a role of icy corporate high-flyer who falls in love with a funny and happy secretary in the Korean drama How to meet a perfect neighbour. Huzzah! This is just what I need! And, [livejournal.com profile] filmi_girl , as according to soompi Park Si Hu is absolutely getting the girl in this drama. There is the main heroune's male best friend in the mix too but he seems to be a tad too old for her.

MVS OF LOVE AND ANGST (Spoilery):

A couple of great scenes:

Mm. it looks deliciously angsty and full of jealousy. I LOVE jealousy.
But - why are the guys always so incredibly wealthy? and why are the girls so often so frickin PASSIVE when the guy is kissing her?

I just started Devil Beside You and LOVE it.

Me too!Are you watching the Korean version of Robin Hood (Iljimae)? Such an excellent version of the timeless story.

But - why are the guys always so incredibly wealthy? and why are the girls so often so frickin PASSIVE when the guy is kissing her?

The passivity of female characters is apparently a must. This is one of the things I do want to be changed in dramas. The other stereotypes are just like a balm for my tired body. :D

I just started Devil Beside You and LOVE it.

I liked it very very much up to a point but got somewhat bored in the middle. A little bit too yongster-y for me.

Yeah-now that I'm farther into it I'm getting that sense. I really do prefer it when the characters are in college. I would say that Coffee Prince, out of the dramas I've seen so far, is in some ways the most adult.

But, mm, jealousy - seriously pretty much my FAVORITE thing. And no, I haven't seen Iljimae, but I've caught a few of your recent raves over it and have definitely added it to the list. May be the next one. :)

but - eee! "that letter doesn't bother me. But when you cry, I don't know what to do"

Why can't the sweet, normal HAPPY guy for once be the one?? :( why does it have to be the horrible, tortured, miserable bad-boy who has no IDEA how to treat the girl? gah

[identity profile] alexandral.livejournal.com 2008-07-11 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, normal ones are far and few between. :D I love my bad boys and damaged heroes but sometimes it is nice to see a good-natured guy to get the girl. :D "Hello, Miss"? May be?

I have heard that "Devil Beside You" goes more and more the way of "not treating the girl right" towards the end. MAy be it is good I haven't finished it properly.

IT didn't bother me as such at fisrt but I am getting too far from school life already. :D

"Goong" has buckets of jelaousy.. :D Among my recent favourites "Lovers in Paris" and "Lovers" (both dramas about adults :D)."Lovers" is soaked in passion and jelaousy.

EXcellent - will add both to my list. :) and oh, I love Goong - observe my 'cinderella story" icon.

Goong is pure love, but I liked Jo Ji Hoon in "Mawang" (pure excellence of plot) too.

EEEEEE! Thanks for the tip! This is going on the to-watch list!

Also, the chair he's in makes it look like he's macking on that girl while at the dentist's office. :D

You can find the drama here: http://bonchu.net46.net/the-perfect-neighbor/#more-22. I have watched episodes 9 and 10 of Iljimae and I desperately needed my Shi Hoo to be happy. With "How to meet a perfect neighbour" I think everyone expected for the herouine to end up with the friend guy (he is the first one in the character list, I think). But now, I am not 100% sure what happened but it seems to be Shi Hoo.

And he is wearing suits! I hope he will take them off from time to time. :D

Hee! You put this image firmly into my mind now. :D

Omg, the angst. Yum...lol...it hits my jealously, love, push and pull nerve. Wonderful advertisement!

Glad you like!

I have already mainlined 9 episodes of it. It is very good if you like a funny (with Kdrama dose of angst, of course) drama with multiple characters. The main herouine (Yoon Hee) is firmly entering the lists of my favourite herouines. She is incredibly funny and cute at the same time. And her clothes are to die for. But I also like her sister and mother and all the gang of the neighbours.
