BSG “Occupation/Precipice”

I have missed BSG!!!!. When the titles came up and the well-known music started playing – it all came back!!. BSG was my first ever BID fandom and still is, I think.
Beginning:
New Caprica scenes reminded me Second World War resistance films. I loved the colouring of the film in New Caprica – grey, but somehow light tones. Usually BSG is very grimly filmed, with the lot of dirty green in it, but this was different.
Starbuck
Wow – Starbuck is back to being all kinds of awesome again! There is no alcohol in the Leoben’s living quarters, so this is all for the best. But Leoben is appearing to be a weird fellow and it seems that his interesting conversations about swimming in the stream were all to do with the fact that he just wanted Kara all for himself. Hmm. The scene where Starbuck is killing Leoben (again and again, it seems) is my favourite. She is so matter-of-fact about it and doesn’t seem to surrender even an inch!!

Resistance guys
Anders didn’t die from pneumonia and is back in the familiar pond of “Resistance”. I grudgingly must say that this totally suits him and that bearded partisan-like Tyrol is good too.
Tigh
I can’t say enough of how much I like Tigh. He even manages to look a little hot (picture below) with the beard and no eye. And the scene where he gets tortured by the Cylon is so reminiscent of the scene of him beating Sharon. Love, love, love him

Lee
This is where I get to be really , really sad. BSG creators clearly don’t like him. He is not just fat, he is soft and he gets to be pushed around by his father and Dualla. I am sad. Very sad. I try to forget all the scenes involving Lee for now, BUT!!!

Very strange things
Adama is the best friend of Sharon? I can’t put my mind around it. I can’t believe she doesn’t have a hidden agenda. Sorry.

And the fact that Cylons try to reconcile with humanity feels really strange too. For me it doesn’t connect with the original premises. But I must watch more.
