It's much easier to tell Kain and Aidou apart in the anime! And I like them better there, too. (Kain is really pretty...I love that orangish hair/brown eyes combo! Reminds me of Ichigo from Bleach.)
Ha ha, no, I know you didn't paint it! It's just not a painting I usually see around these parts, like Waterhouse or something, you know. (I have an art history background.)
I haven't seen any of the ones that you have, except Trigun. I LOVE Trigun! I have the DVDs. The animation is pretty dated, but I dearly love the character of Vash. It's a rarity in that the English dub is good because of the guy who voices him (I generally watch 'em both ways b/c I like to see the differences in voicework)...it's the series that hoooked me on anime to begin with. Definitely give it another shot when you can.
My main anime love at the moment is Bleach - you should so watch that! Not particularly pretty animation, but it's extremely hilarious and very cool, I love all the action and fighting. Many great characters and a VERY good story. The English dub is the best I've ever heard. I do normally prefer the original voices, but not in this case! It rocks.
I'm also super fond of Perfect Girl Evolution, which is extremely funny and adorable. I just started watching Cowboy Bebop, and will probably do a post about that soon.
I was planning on watching Wolf's Rain so let me know if you have anything more to say about it. I've heard of the rest except for Ayashi no Ceres. I'm going to go look that up. :)
