Bae Yong Yoon : the blue cardigan of worry

My admiration for this guy knows no bounds but the latest pictures of him and his blue cardigan makes me worried:



I need your opinion on this. To participate you don't have to be a fan of Bae Yong Joon or even know who he is. The gender of participants is not important too. (But please be kind – I lurve him :D)

I like the glasses, and even the color of the sweater, even if I prefer something a bit more subdued. At least it's not pink, and kdramas and Bollywood made me colorblind :P. I hate the v-neck cut of the sweater, but I have gotten reconciled to the fact that for some reason I have yet to comprehend, Asian men seem to find that kind of sweater irresistable.

Well, I think the colour is okay, though the cut of the sweater is what I really don't like... and the glasses, I love those kind of glasses on some men, but I think this one should rather go with another kind.

На мой вкус, чуть ярковат, к тому же я вообще по жизни не люблю все оттенки голубого цвета. Но покрой кофтенки мне очень нравится, ему идет. Да и очки хорошо смотрятся.

Just to join the chorus, and please don't hit me--I thought it was a woman. As others have said, you can tell me it's a man all you like, he looks like a woman in this pic:

hair, glasses, skin, smile, even his pecs look more like small boobs.

but I voted no for the cardigan, so you can blame it on that.

I'm actually laughing over this entire post because I originally thought it was meganbmoore. Then I kept seeing you defend him and post the hot pic and wondered what lj I was actually looking at.

There's really no point to this, other than I really need to watch some of these asian dramas. I still haven't, despite much teaching by you and your friends on how and where to get them.

The colour is honestly OK, as it suits his pigmentation and his hair hue; also, I daresay it pretty much goes along perfectly with his mood. I'm not that much of a fan of the cut, though. Perhaps if it weren't that low, everything would have been fine.

And as a glasses-wearer myself, I consider this pair to be actually quite cute!

*purposely uses my 'fierce dam duk' icon* Hmmm. I am a bit mixed about that picture. Where did you get it? I'm not sure who's got the bigger role in 'controlling' the image of Bae Yong Joon. Himself or his management. More often than not, an actor's image is always controlled and what we see on the media is not necessarily the real person.

I don't doubt Bae Yong Joon's manliness. He can look super hot and very male/hunky when he wants to. Perhaps his softer image is made to cater the older/mature demographics (I hear that he is really huge with the older generations in Japan and Korea).

As for the picture above. I don't like the colour, but perhaps the cut is not too bad. In a different, darker colour I think it wouldn't be too bad and I wouldn't mind my significant other to wear something like that. The glasses I am rather indifferent about. It's just 'okay' but he could look younger with a more 'modern' frame. This shoot must be for a newspaper ad or something. Bae looks like he's just had a shower and is about to read the morning papers and eat breakfast on the table with his wife and 2 children *laughs*

Bottom line. I don't hate the pic. But I've seen better. Keep the 'better' ones coming, why don't you, Bae! ^^

He looks good but i'm not loving the grandpa cardigan. I do like grandpa cardigans but that one looks a bit too big. I love the glasses though. :)

Oh my, not one of the best BYJ looks by any degree. LOL! That cardy is rather awful and I'm not too hot about the colour either. Glasses are so/so, but he'd def look better with something else. I'd dearly like to whack the stylist - why on earth did he/she want to make him look this, um.... frumpy. *shakes head*
