The Legend (First king's four gods) : Icons

"The Legend" (or "First King's Four Gods") is one of the best shows I have seen among Western, Asian or other period/fantasy dramas. Unforgettable. I haven't been that much in awe (and true awe, as in AMAZINGLY GOOD TV awe) since "Rome", I think. I'll try to talk about this show in a way it deserves later.. I haven't slept properly last night in a crazy icon spree. :D

But just in short, "The Legend" is one of the best TV shows I have seen because:

- AMAZING world building
- vivid and larger than life characters.
- costumes of fabulousness
- dialogue I want to quote now EVERYWHERE
- cinematography and battle scenes of greatness

Gorgeous! Between you and dangermousie I am almost convinced! Now if only I could find the time and tear myself away from my longings to see Bad Love instead....

I hae to sadly inform you that whatever its other advantages, Legend is unlikely to feature elevator sex :D

That might be balanced by the fact that it has dragons and gods. Plus historic/fantasy emo without strange hats.

That's true, the hats are largely absent (yay! My theory why Korea never became bigger is that effort other countries spent into conquering they put into hat making :P) and even the main character only obtains a beard in the last ep and a half. I was quite happy.

I have to confess that Gods and Dragons are largely absent after ep 1...

I was so relieved to see the absence of beards. Imagine Ho Gae with Korean beard ** shudders **.
